Red can do both, he has MDEF up party (and MATK debuff if you need)
Definitely not by itself, need fire resistance reduction (fire breach materia for example, though it is only low potency, weapons are better - like Red collar from dual summon fight).
Your best action against Sihva's first attack is to cast esuna silence ASAP on char that can party MDEF UP :)
If you can gather 30k gems before that banner ends, MH crossover Aerith costume is best investment in the long run (and you will get her staff at least 1 guaranteed copy which is also very useful).
Regardless of this, grab single copy of Floral Wand - with mid lvl pdef debuff it is great support for physical team for little cost and additionally will be even more help against wind weak enemies, your long term goal should be Sun Umbrella ob6 - which offers mid lvl debuffs to both physical and magic defense.
If you pick Zack, get him ceremonial sword + twinkling star - it is great non elemental physical combo that will help you a lot in various type of fights (keep them on wishlist and gather parts via mercenary quests, goal should be ob6/7 ceremonial - overboost 6 means 1st white/pink star - first after 5 reds).
That is true for offensive weapons, sometimes you just want / can only grab outfit and this one is definitely worth it (also staff is usable even just gold - OB0).
Skin is perfectly fine without banner weapon and witch such r abilities - future proof + it will cost just 15k or even less (more probable).
As mentioned above, the way game calculates damage, that outfit adds (much) less than 15% since it is not total dmg increase but only part of formula. It will be more impactful for neutral element dmg but not really worth it for any element, since you may just increase element potency for them (could still consider that MH costume if better other r ability like HP - but this one, I recommend to skip for you).

I t is like with stats and subs - you want both HP and PDEF/ MDEF.
Yuffie is great with fire boomerang and 2nd limit break - clear tranquil
Biggest damage boost to physical fire would be Sephiroth with Radiant Edge (if gold). You can focus dmg on boss to end fight quicker (less time and less dmg taken = more points). In normal and hard dungeons avoid using items if possible.
You got great stuff from limited banner and obviously keep it, also never pull for banner when you are below 30k crystals.
Same if you kill him with limit break :)
If you can't capitalize on his increased critical damage (read - if you are not a whale) better skip it - there will be better costumes for you, if you want something universal - wait for outfit with HP (always nice to have) or heal bonus (both on single costume would be perfect).
- equip summons if you have their 2nd attack unlocked - AOE (+healing wind if you use Aerith) and use them as soon as you can during second wave (I think that would be best approach for you).
Forgot to mention having single target Cura on your best healer is good.
The most useful combo I see with her healing gloves would be Tiger Fangs for MATK down - so basicaly what you want for any summon fight. EX fights require tight ATB usage, so lesser but faster healing + time for debuff attack may be best option. Then we have HP which is always good to have, allowing for more flexibility with subs.
