Hi,
I just purchased a brand new LG C4 42" to use as my PC monitor, upgrading from an older Alienware monitor.
I've got it setup and working when I set my resolution to 4k@60Hz, HDR on in Windows 11.
My GPU is a 4080 and I'm using a 15m HDMI 2.1 cable, specifically this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B09QX5TBNX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
This HMDI cable is capable of supporting 4k@120Hz but I can't get a signal when I try to select it in Windows. I found a post about setting it through the Nvidia Control Panel under "PC" resolutions but this also results in a no signal message.
I suspect I may get told to try a different cable which is fair, this one is long and I know it's capable of 85Hz because I used that on my Alienware monitor (that refresh doesn't seem to be available as a selection with the C4).
I'm going to try ordering a new cable but I was hoping there's something else I'm missing because I'd rather not have to swap it out if possible!
Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
Ben
I've made some rookie mistakes in 20 years, but nothing like that, hah!
The cable was swapped from old monitor to new, no other change. The new cable arrives Monday so hopefully that'll solve my issue.
Thanks again for the help!
