Looks great! I have to admit, the floor to ceiling stone looked pretty nice.
Yeahhh, the woodwork is nice but its a downgrade from top to bottom stone. Its a shame to hide it like that
It looked way better before imo
lol my first thought was "why didn't they book match the stone?"
My second thought was "maybe not everyone needs to have tools."
The floor to ceiling stone looked great, I would have a different option, with shelves either side, and kept a string for the stockings.
Seems really busy now for what was a tranquil place.
Love the fire guard!!!!
you covered half the tile! Take whatever it is you put in front of your fireplace down and mount a gorgeous solid black walnut mantle, like 6”x10”. I know a guy 😉
Agreed! That’s some beautiful tile covered up. A nice dark mantel would look great there
I thought it looked better before.
To be honest, it looks worse
Liked the before.
Fun project, but it looked better before.
This is like putting Formica over your marble countertops. No just No
"so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should"
Take it down bro. That’s terrible
There’s a subtleness to some and then there’s this haha.
Be proud that you attempted this! But to be honest it’s not well done and will devalue your house.
Looks good but I'm worried about the material used. It just screams fire hazard to me
I would be too, but that's a fake fire in there.
I read this quickly as "jizzed up my fireplace" and scrolled back to see lol..thats enough reddit for today
That grate is pimp!
I hope this thing you call fireplace is only a fake decoration, if not all your work will soon be up in flames!
What was before? I like the large tiles without lights around a beautiful natural fire. Just me
If you’re treating this as part of a holiday decoration that’s only in place temporarily, then it’s moderately acceptable. But that’s the only case.
Looks great! I have to admit, the floor to ceiling stone looked pretty nice.
