I contacted a local baker my venue recommended, and they look phenomenal. But I just got my quote back and it would be $2,800 for a dessert bar to serve 80-90 guests. If I did only 2 pieces per person, it would drop to $1,800ish.

I feel like this is crazy expensive and maybe they are just way more of a luxury baker than I realized?

Just curious how much you all spent. I feel like I'd ideally want to spend $800 max on dessert but not sure if that is considered low. I'm in a beach town in FL for reference.
