First time gardener here in northern Missouri USA. All that comes up when I search for this online is blossom end rot, but I haven’t found a source that shows a tomato with BER that also has a thorn like object sticking out of it (circled in blue). All of my ripe tomatoes look like this, except on most of them the thorn is sticking up directly in the center of the rotten part and is thicker around than the one pictured. I’m not sure if it’s BER or if it’s caused by insects. Any help is greatly appreciated!
