I've never reached mistlands, but I've heard a lot of people either hate the zone or simply say they really struggled with it. I'm playing the game solo majority of the time, so what tips would you recommend for someone like me? Certain foods I should prioritise? Armours? Weapons? Tactics?

I usually look for one that’s connected to the plains or black Forrest. Set up a portal outside then look for a small opening to head in
Oh interesting. I assumed they were all on islands. I should probably go boat around a bit more before committing to an island.
I eventually moved my main base on the border of a plains/mistlands biome, but made sure to be completely in the plains to avoid the “What’s up gjall” raid. Really helps with hare hunting. The fulings and deathsquitos are constantly battling the mist land creatures, so when I run along the border I usually pick up 5-8 hare meat
