Wine doesn't seem to be a Utah thing. Does anyone know of a bar or other establishment that serves Sangria near Utah county? (I have a decent recipe to make at home, but I'm wondering if anyone serves it in Northern Utah.)

What sort of license would I need to do that? Would I be allowed to sell at local farmers markets? It's just a hobby for now but wanted to see if it's an option in the future! I checked the DABS website already and was a bit confused so any help is appreciated!
DABS has released their new price list, so we got to work crunching the numbers. Check out the report to see what's going up/down in price, what's new, and what's discontinued.
Luckily we don't seem to have nearly as many price increases as last month. This month we've got some good local products on sale from Ogden's Own (incl. Five Husbands vodka just in time for Pride month), Beehive, Dented Brick, High West, and more!
Did I hear correctly that some of you got in line before midnight?
For real? 🤣😂
Just dropping a heads up that Tequila Ocho 2023 and Codigo 1530 are available in the state. Tequila Ocho is set for General Distribution and Codigo 1530 is set for Trial Distribution. Both are additive free tequilas.
The liquor store on 5056 South and State Street has a healthy inventory of Tequila Ocho and I just picked up a bottle of Codigo 1530 there as well.
And is it an absolute nightmare to go? I haven't been to one yet, but am kind of curious, but don't want to show up if there isn't anything there
Looking to get a couple bottles for mimosas, spending around 15 or so a bottle. Not overly concerned with specifically champagne, prosecco, or whatever other ones work.
Any suggestions as to something I could find at the downtown wine store?
EDIT: It's sounding like the wine is a distant second to just getting some good OJ, I can definitely work with that. Thanks everyone!
I stopped by the distillery the other day and had a tasting. They are totally worth trying if you haven't tried any. The Rye-Cognac is reminded me of High West's Midwinter Nights Dram, but half the price. The cinnamon whiskey is clean and not overpowering, its really nice. Everything I tasted was really good.
Just a shoutout to a local place doing things right.
WTF are foreigners supposed to use?
It's that time again! We've compared the most recent DABS price book with the previous month, and generated a report of what's going up or down in price, what's new, and what's discontinued.
There are quite a few price increases this month--and a strange amount of price increases on discontinued items that were previously discounted. Get in this weekend to pick up any you want before the price increase takes effect!
On the local sale front, check out the offerings from High West, Twisted Cedar, Ogden's Own, and more!
Is it State law that requires 100% ID check on old (60) bastards like myself or paranoia from the alky stings?
Also, just had friends from Finland that had to carry their passport just to buy a beer. The world is welcome here, just as long as you don't attempt to use another form of government ID.
I’m planning to hopefully grab a bottle of Blanton’s on Saturday, probably showing up a couple hours before open. Anyone else plan to be there? What are you hoping to grab?
I've some sober friends that have expressed interests in exploring non alcoholic mixed drinks, and I thought it would be fun to explore with them, if only so I can offer them when hosting. I've found Ritual which looks intriguing but I'm curios if anyone here has 1st hand experience with them or other alternatives that I should consider?
i work at a bar in sugarhouse was wondering where y’all liked to go for industry nights somewhat nearby?
I’m wondering if anyone knows if there are any breweries that have a cask poured ale? An English bitter? A brown? Anything?
I renewed my drivers license online and was given a temporary license. This, in conjunction with my expired drivers license, makes me legally allowed to drive. Stores have been turning me away from buying alcohol. Yes, I have a very young looking face but I HAVE A LEGAL FORM OF ID. An expired drivers license + a temporary license is the same as a fresh plastic ID. I have been to these stores 100+ times and the cashiers know me. It is so frustrating.
Has anyone else ran into this? Can I go to the DMV and pick it up so I don't have to wait 8 weeks to have alcohol?
Some of you actually had to actually get out of your cars to get your spot in line. Are you doing okay? Do you need some coffee? Legs holding up? Sandy location is getting busy.
