Personally I feel like there should be a title eliminator at LHW since ankalaev's last 3 fights were a win over Johnny Walker, a draw against Jan in 2022 and a win over Anthony Smith in 2022 who just lost to a MW on short notice who was on a 2 fight losing streak. But what do you guys think?

You don't have title eliminator fights when the champ is healthy and willing to fight.

If poatan needs 3 to 6 months to heal his toe and get back in shape fine, but if Alex wants to fight again this year why bother? Just let him fight Ankalaev and wait for Aspinall or Jones to be ready.

Jan and Magomed should have ran it back by now. That's why I don't mind seeing Poatan fight for the HW title, the LHW's are not active enough.

I think he should fight Ankalev next. This way we see how he fares against a grappler in LHW before moving into HW for Aspinnal or even JJ.

Aspinnal will mix it up, but Pereira has a solid chance since Aspinnal is a striker. JJ on the other hand won’t go out there to prove anything against Pereira’s striking and will be looking to Gane’d him.

Agreed, let Alex fight an unranked or top 15 heavyweight while these guys fight for a title eliminator. Nothing against Johnny Walker but I don’t think beating him at this point is a strong enough case for a title shot
