I got into theatre for both ucf and fsu. Anyone have any tips on deciding. Cause i know fsu has a better theatre program hands down, but ucf is in the heart of orlando and i know it has tons of connections for internships etc. As well as i wasnt impressed by Tallahassee when i went up there for a visit.
100% choose FSU if those are your considerations, not sure the cost difference. UCF is useful for internships in the programs it excels in like business/marketing, engineering, and nursing. Everything else at UCF is dogshit regardless of what the size of the psychology program would lead you to believe.
Go where you think you'll be happy. It's called tallanasty for a reason.
On a more serious note it can be a lot of fun if your culture is partying 24/7 but if that's not your thing I would avoid FSU at all costs.
i used to go to fsu and i think ucf is much better overall. i can’t speak on the theatre programs but i think you’ll have a better quality of life at ucf
Honestly, in this economy, whichever one is cheaper for you. See which one you got more scholarships to/would cost less would be my choice. Either way, best of luck!
I spend a lot of my time in my apartment at ucf so I would consider looking and figuring out where u can live at both campuses. The dorms at both are mid from what I have heard. Just check out everything you can honestly cause it’s all personal preference
I wouldn't say this decision is down to personal preference, FSU's art programs are significantly better than UCF's. Based on that alone I'd choose FSU easily
I have no idea what the theatre program is like between the two I’m giving my thoughts
I went to FSU for my first degree in cumputer science and Tallahassee is actually pretty cool. There’s so many hot chicks there and they all wanna party. Everywhere is a party at FSU. I could not control my boner there though. UCF is a little tamer in that sense and Im less inclined to get a boner.
Honestly, I did a short crash course internship at FSU and I didn’t even want to check UCFs out, I grew up around here my whole life, I believe there is more available in Tallahassee and even better sometimes Georgia will act like you’re a resident if they really like your qualifications
Honest answer, whichever option puts you in the least amount of debt.
If you are getting a Theater based degree it doesn't really matter which school you go to (UCF/FSU) for a BA/BFA.
