There was a game that was being marketed as being like stardew valley but you either were or were just working for Joja mart. I can't really remember anything else about the game other than it was supposed to be a commentary on capitalism. I think it came out within the last year. If anybody can point me in the right direction I'd be very grateful.
I can only kind of remember a tiktok I saw about a year ago. It was modern day in like a downtown area I think. I think on of the mechanics was that the better you did, the worse off the town became with pollution and things. It did have the pixel art style though.
That doesn't ring any bells for me. Can you describe how the game looked, was it pixel graphics? Top down perspective?

Found it, the game is called Discounty. It hasn't been released yet which is why I couldn't find anything. Oops haha.

Your not really giving a lot of information here. I can throw out some wild guesses for you. Maybe Graveyard Keeper? Or perhaps Moonlighter where you go into dungeons and find loot to sell in your store?
