I already forgot mine unfortunately, I was just 6 years old when I played the first Sims game back in 2006. Was wondering if anyone else on this sub still remembers their first sim and what their story ended up to be š
Do you still remember who was your first ever Sim you ever created? And what are they like?
DiscussionWe're you playing on the sims online?
Nope, just good old Sims 1.
Lol, so you both shared the screen? Good old days :)
Yup, sitting side by side in the family computer room!
Amazing. This is so amazing. I love everything about it.
A punk/alt girl named Karma. Her traits were evil, mean and (at the time) insane.
... jojo siwa, is that you?
...mind if I use this in a Sim? XDĀ
Damn I also made a Sim called Karma once. They were mean and clumsy.
I donāt exactly remember as I was 8 (2008) back then. But I know for almost all the Sims I made, I would ask my dad for name suggestions. He would always say āHeatherā š.
He passed away years ago and I never really remembered this tiny detail until now. āŗļø
If you have a kid, I hope you name them Heather!
That's sweet I've always wanted to name my potential daughter heather
Yes, my sister and I made a couple in the Sims 2 when we first got it around 2007. They had a really sweet romance... until Goopy GilsCarbo showed up to their party, and I learned the hard way how devastating a Flirt is for jealousy! We tried to exit without saving, but accidentally saved instead.
I have many fond memories of my sister and I playing in similar scenarios! We thought our guy sims were such floozies because they always flirted around when married, but the real reason they did that was that we had selected the Romance aspiration for them, thinking it would make them romantic. Lmao
Haha, I love that! I wonder how many fun stories there are of siblings playing the Sims together. My sister and I still tell each other about what's going on in our respective games, and sometimes we'll make Sims to help populate each other's games. I even have dreams where I'm "in" the Sims, and the dream ends with me zooming out and explaining the plot to her!
I imagine there's plenty of stories! I know I tended to try and get all my family to play as a child. My mother is the one that actually wanted the game, but after TSO she stopped playing for the most part. My grandma and sister used to play Sims 2 with me a lot, which I am incredibly grateful for. I still remember my grandma's entire family, I loved them. She made a fanciful Victorian-esque couple of sisters named the Banister sisters, and I remember her favorite one had a husband that died and his ghost gave her Sim a heart attack when she went to swim in the pool lmao. She was so upset she quit playing. I miss her <3
I got my dad to play Sims 3 briefly, which was pretty cool to witness, as he doesn't really play those types of games. He had a great time, though. I still tell my family about some of the things that happen in my game, too. I miss the days of us playing together, wish I could get one of them invested enough so we could share Sims, as well lol.
Wow, that's so fun you have been able to share the Sims with different people over the years. I love that story about your grandma's family. The Banister sisters sound like fun!
I donāt remember any of them but I do remember I always made 2 girls who were married (this is called foreshadowing)
This was Sims 1 era. I can't remember what they were like, but I remember I made a small family of 3 and moved them into a house that didn't have enough beds. I didn't have enough money for another bed either, so I made the kid sleep on the couch all the time.
I was 8 when I first started playing the Sims. My older sister (who was of age) had asked our parents to get her The Sims 2 for her birthday, but both of us eventually played.
My first Sim was actually a Simmification (?) of my family. It was all cool and all until I had to leave the game since it was time for lunch. Except that it was unpaused, with speed 3 being enabled.
When I made it back to the family computer, I stumbled upon one of the Game over messages.
Yes. Everyone died.
I support the use of the word Simmification.
No but in sims 2 I always chose the asian preset (with the ponytail) and had their formalwear as the korean traditional dress. I used to play in the same old modern townhouse where the bedrooms were too small for a double bed and she'd get pregnant and lounge on the sofa watching TV. For some weird reason I just really loved doing that. I was terrible at cas and building but by sims 3 and sims 4 I got better- now I like building a lot more.
I had nearly gotten sims 1 because a friend had played it at a sleepover. But the clerk tried to sell me all of sims1 or sims 2 and I chose sims 2- and the dlc money drain began. But between sims and word I made a lot of stories and got to be creative as a kid.
I don't remember her name or how I did it, but I accidentally moved them in with the Newbie's in Sims 1. I didn't understand what I was doing and she spent her shortlived life in a locked room in the Newbie household, peeing herself and eating salads.
Oh god yes. On The Sims 2 pets for PS2. All my sims had mohawks (proper Nervous Subject shit)
My first sims family was made in the first sims. They were almost a carbon copy of the goths, but the mom had a different face. Two memories stand out to me from that family.
The first memory is when I tried to have the dad cook a group meal. He went up to the fridge and stopped moving. My 5 year old brain was like āwhy isnāt he moving?ā So I sped up the time. I donāt remember how I figured this out, but it turned out the dad fell asleep in front of the fridge. In the sims 1, sims can fall asleep on the floor or standing up.
The second memory was when one of the adults was trying to cook a meal but a fire started instead. I didnāt have a fire alarm and I was so spooked I ran to my sister (who bought the game) and asked her for help. She help me put out the fire and then she took me to this sims editor and gave my sims 2 points of cooking. From there til the beginning of sims 3, I always had my sims get 2 skill points of cooking at the start of any game. Iād finish by the time the neighbors would drop by.
OG Sims. I was 10. I made a sporty black woman named Alexandra. Pretty much everytime I played Sims. I grew up in rural Canada and there weren't any black people, so I thought she was quite exotic. In Sims 2, I made single Dad's, and in Sims 3, I would make single white Mom's or myself. In Sims 4, I do lots of legacy/rags to riches. When it first came out, they were all white, middle class type Sims, but I like making Sims from different backgrounds, cultures, and races now.
I'm pretty surprised I still remember. It was a family of four in Sims 2. A straight couple with two kids. I remember the husband's name was Jack because that was six-year-old me's idea of a "cool" name. And one of the kids wore the butterfly face paint because that was my idea of cool makeup. Then I closed the laptop mid-creation because we were going out or something and when I came back, the game had crashed :/
It was early 2000ās and I created me and my husband. I also remember attempting to create Wisteria Lane and all of The Desperate Housewives, because it was big at the time š¤£
Madea family in ts2, two parents with at least three kids. I can't remember what their names were, but I do remember that:
I tried to expend the house but forgot to put doors (and roof)
Put a stove but not a fridge
They kept alternating between fainting, complaining because they could not reach the doors, complaining of hunger and pissing themselves, it was a true disaster š
I can't remember them dying, so I probably left the game before.
My mom and me š„ŗ We moved into that Sims 3 Sunset Valley Trailer Home and i build myself the bedroom of my dreams. I remember showing my mom her sim. She didn't really understand what the hell she was looking at but was mom supportiveš„ŗš„ŗ
Her name was Candace Fox and I made her on Sims 1 in 2000 and I remember her fondly haha
A redheaded woman named Arishii with deceased spouses in the backyard. I have made multiple iterations of my red headed black widow since on my 20 year saga of Sims.
Twilight Sparkle
A heavily CCed sim called Lori Laurel. I tried the hunderd babies challenge but only got to 25, then the save broke when I tried to move people out
Got the sims 2 when it was free in 2014 and named my main sim Scarlett after a Total Drama character.... (sidenote that season sucked and I should have picked a more iconic character from an earlier season)
I had just gotten the sims4 on ps4 with the pets expansion, I had no idea how to play the game and decided to make a young adult couple with two toddlers and a pet dogā¦ the kids got taken away in minutes and it was an absolute disaster
I was dumb and made an entire family. Mom, dad, angsty teen son, and elementary school daughter. The parents both had the have another child whom but my dumbass didn't realize I couldn't make them woohoo because I didn't have a double bed š
Of course I know her, she's me!
It was a family of three in The Sims 1, a couple with a daughter. The daughter was soon sent to a military school. I expected she would return eventually. When she didn't, they made another one who got glitched and had zero personality points.
I actually remember... It was Sims 1, and I made a male and a female using the green mohawk head and the blonde rose-colored sunglasses head. Don't remember their names or attributes, but they did have a child named Broken Condom.
Yep! Ophelia Lockhart. I still have her in my gallery
My first sim was a redhead with those pigtails with ribbons from the sims 3 named Quinn. She got married and moved into the most atrocious house with lime green walls and a hedge maze in the yard.
I donāt really remember.. but I do know I did make a Green family and they all were named things like Jade, Olive, Sage, Kelley. That was sims 1! The kids never grew up so it wasnāt like you could have multiple generations. I think I went on to make the Cat family.. the father was Tom, mother Tabby.. and so on.
The Sims 1 on PS2. His name was Ugo. He had a big belly and those heart patterned boxers. Obviously inspired by ragioner Ugo Fantozzi. I created him with my mum and we often reminisce about him and his ineptitude lmao
I played the sims 2 when I was 7 (I'm 24 now) and I made a cliche family. Their last name was Smith and the dad's name was Bob and the mom was Rose. I remember I named all the girls after flowers (Lily, Daisy and Poppy) and I named the son Larry idk why. I also didn't understand zodiac signs at the time so I made all the girls Virgos and all the boys were Sagittarius. I also loved playing with the genetics. Rose had red hair and light blue eyes and Bob had brown hair and green eyes, and I remember being fascinated that all the kids had brown hair and green eyes like their dad (except for Lily who had red hair and Daisy who had blue eyes). Then, I abandoned them to play with the Goths. I redownloaded TS2 and remade them recently and it was fun!
I didnāt make a Sim, I just played as Bob Newbie non stop. My game glitched and Betty never appeared in the house with him weirdly. I tried to make a Betty and make them marry but Sims 1 relationships were so hard, so I just played as single Bob for years. Highlights were giving him 7 dogs, making him a catwalk model and going skydiving.
Moon and Grimm have been surnames I've used day 1. I can't remember which was first but I use the names to date.
I made Padme and Anakin š was in my starwars phase back in the early 00s
I made a lady that I thought looked just like me in the sims 1 (she didnāt) but named Stacy and my sister killed her in her pool after she invited her over.
I was obsessed with the sims 3 when I was younger but our family computer was too bad to run it so I would just fantasize about all the sims I would make and all the houses I would build, I would write out their name and traits on paper.
When I actually got the sims 3 for the first time, I made a 3 sim household, Amanda Ackerman Andrew Ackerman and Kimberly Greene. Amanda and Andrew got married and had twin girls, Alexa and Alessia. I played until Alexa had a daughter Amelia then got bored and started a new save after that. But I still remember how exciting everything felt, after years of just observing I was able to actually play the game!
Definitely made myself first, I was a kid playing the sims 1 but I made myself an adult and was obsessed with trying to find her a husband (didnāt know you couldnāt get married back then lol) Then I learned your female sim could be with other female sims and discovered I was bisexual š
I honestly don't remember the first Sim I made. That was way back in 2001.
Yes! I still have her saved. Her name is Jane Doe and sheās an astronaut. I randomly put her in my games still, so sheās pretty well rounded at this point. My second sim became a vampire and I almost have everything maxed out. Still my favorite!
I don't remember my first Sims 2 family, but in Sims 3 I made two sisters. Red hair, purple eyes. I passed those traits down 4-5 generations until my heir had 8 kids and none had the combo. I took it as a sign that the legacy was over.
I had asmall motley of different beginnger sims when I was first in the game (3), but the first family I really played were the D'avinas: Josephine,Ā wife Juliana, and Juliana's brothers, Rome and Carlo.Ā
my first ever sim was a family, who, upon putting them into the game, had the mother die in a fire after trying to cook
Her name was Finlay Spencer
I was 7 or 8, playing Sims 1, don't remember the character or story but probably made my family. I used to make my family and self a lot as a child, especially in Sims 2.
I donāt remember specifics but I have vivid recollections of creating families of the PC version of the Sims 2 as a kid. I was born in 03ā so I imagine this took place between 09ā-11ā. I only remember making giant families and getting mad at the gameplay because I couldnāt understand how to play. š
Sims 1, I made a family of four - mom, dad and twin daughters. They all had weaboo names like Sakura and Sora Hayashibara. š I still remake this family once in a while.
I remember her perfectly. I named her Katniss Everdeen. It was on the sims 3 pets for Xbox 360
Not sure if my very first family but one of my earliest sims memories. Sims 1, I was probably 5/6 and I made myself and my two best friends from school. Made us all adults, and a lovely house for us. First thing I did was make one of them try to cook something, whole house set on fire and killed my friend. I was so upset and worried (idk why, worried that my friend would somehow know?!)
It was, even made them fat like me lol. Haven't made a me sim in a while.
I just remember he was green. I couldnāt figure out why he couldnāt walk into his house after I made one on an empty lot that didnāt have stairs after I raised the foundation a single notch. He met and became engaged to a random passerby lady (not a townie if I remember correctly), and I abandoned it once they started starving to death after repeatedly peeing themselves, still w no access to a bathroom or fridge/oven.
Sims bustin out was the first I playedā¦. Not many options. All very basic until sims 3. Her name was wyndell, named her after my hamster š. Blue hair big ti**y goth girl
I can't remember them exactly, but I can remember what happened with them. It was a couple with a kid. Despite both parents working, they never had money (was I buying random stuff? I don't know!). I was so amused by the 'wah, wah, waaaah' whenever the fridge opened I didn't think about the consequences I guess. I was a kid!
The dad died taking out the trash š¬ A random npc walking past the house at the time mourned at his grave for HOURS.
Yes. Sims 2. Her name was Holly. She had brown hair in braids. She married Komei Tellerman and they had twin girls. I immediately got bored and stopped playing as soon as the girls aged up to move out
on top of my head, maybe my simself when i first started playing sims 4 or the 5 ocs i made that i thought of at the time.
edit: i dont remember what my first version of my simself looked like but i can assure you it doesn't look like me at all. however, i barely remember what the three ocs looked like, but im sure i made them teenagers and theyre all great friends. while the mom of my main character has a short hair and her elder sister has longer hair.
another edit: sims 4 isn't technically my first ever sims game (it's sims 1) but it doesnt count to me in terms of first sim because i even dont remember my first sim there anymore, so i went with the sims 4 instead and sadly i didnt get to play sims 2 and 3 that much growing up, only sims 1 for a short while.
I made the Sixth Doctor (Colin Baker) and Peri in Sims 1. I remember going into the custom clothes maker and making them their outfits from The Twin Dilemma.
Probably the sluttest goth girl I could make in the sims 1 lol
I don't remember much from plying the original/ first Sims. I was pretty young and only played it a couple of times. I remember I had a woman abd a man and then thry had a kid.
But I remember really well the first sim I made in The Sims 2. I kept giving her the Elixir of Youth so she never aged past adult. She lived in the yellow house with the round "tower". She had 3 husbands throught her life, who all died of old age. And 9 kids. I also played some of the kuds, so she got a few grandkids as well. She had most of the skills maxed and never worked a day in her life lol.
It was me, they were almost all me.
I only ever make myself and people I know in real life. I am physically incapable of making people up. I blame the ātism.
I made myself. And then my older cousin. And then gave us a child who was my other older cousin. Safe to say, I hadn't had the talk yet. š
I'm still playing with my first 4 that I noodled out the very first time I launched the Sims... but that was only a year ago. š
i made a sim version of my Skyrim character. i dont remember his traits but im pretty sure he's in my Library still. just gotta sort through 7 years of families to find him
not really the first since I was way too young to remember and went through too many sims in sims 2 to have any recollection of it. I barely even remember the names of the sims I had, I was just too young to remember. Sims 3 however I remember having a sim girl which had black and purple hair and all the clothes were black and purple and I played her for a bit but got bored quickly. But then I had a sim kid in another household who kinda looked like Erik from the band Creature Feature, so I made Curtis from the band when he became an adult and had them both live together and adopt a few kittens. I remember Curtis had the evil trait and would sometimes scare the zombies, and I also made him a werewolf, it was probably the most fun I ever had with a sim household at the time and I played them for a really long time.
An alien on the sims 2 for ps2 called Spirelly Greenday. I remade him recently to have him walk around in the my sims 4 save.
It was myself lol. I was 12 & I made myself a teen. That sim was low-key kinda ugly š Iām scared to try again bc I only really make cartoon characters but maybe I could do a decent job who knows
I recreated my family in the sims 2. I donāt really remember what I did with them though as this was about 10 years ago
Molly and Steve Malone, sims 1. Steve was a police officer, donāt remember what Molly was.
me and it looked nothing like me. before ea introduced new skins all the black skins were ashy and the hairstyles sucked.
Yessss!!! I started playing the sims 4 when I was quite young and I didn't understand how it worked so I made 3 sims, a young adult female whos first outfit was the purple sleeveless basegame murmured style dress since I didn't know how to change their clothes and her husband and their toddler who had the pigtail hairstyle. Their house had no doors or windows and it was just a huge box with no lights and some of the pre-made rooms in the corners
Back in Sims 3, where I started, I had made two sims, a male and female, both young adults. Their names were Carl and Clair. I don't remember anything about them outside of the fact that they had a child together who I named after one of my best friends irl. I stopped playing them a little after the kid was born and made my go-to household that I would play nonstop, even to this day.
Well, some time went on, and their lives started to play out in the background to me playing my own thing. As time passed, they age, and the kid grew up... bald. I guess since I didn't pick a hair style for the kid back then, the game decided he had no hair, so every time I went out in public, there was the off chance I'd see a bald kid around town.
This continued on for as long as I played my original sims 3 save that has since been lost to time. (Didn't delete it, just moved computers a few times and misplaced it during the numerous transfers.) That saga ended with the kid growing into an adult, never knowing what it was like to have hair of his own.
Only Sims 4. Family of 4, mum, dad and boy/girl twins. Their names were Paige and Lawton.
Iāll always remember Kira and Leo on the sims 2 that my friend had to come over and help me get started with, Kira had short black hair and rocked knee high boots with a leather dress and Leo had the 2009 Bieber haircut. I had no idea how to play but together we made them a happy little life until Leo died in an oven fire. I was devestated š
My first ever sim was a sim version of myself i made in the sims 1. Her name was Anna and she worked in the entertainment industry. I can't remember her story very much other than that after i played the Goth household, Mortimer burnt the house down, killing Cassandra and Bella moved out with baby Alexander to marry Anna. Anna also was part of the circus.
I don't remember my first sim, but I remember my husband's. Sims 1, by pure chance picking up the game that first week of February of 2000, brought it home and we both played tons. His character was a bachelor my husband wanted to see what would happen if we let the game play overnight. Woke up to a character that was miraculously still alive, but was so depressed we couldn't get him to do anything.
At age 11, I made the prettiest Sim I could. She became a guitar-playing rockstar that also painted and never quite moved out of that beginner trailer home in the Sims 3 Sunset Valley town.
Whatever year Sims 2 came out but towards the end of the year. Her name was Amanda, IDK what the last name was. I remember she had an orange shirt and she lived in one of the unfurnished beach like houses near Don Lothario and the Caliente's. I'm pretty sure I couldn't figure out how to get her a job and she almost starved to death because it didn't come with a fridge? IDK it's been so long lol.
I made myself and my friends on the Sims 3! I was in high school at the time
the first sims game i played was sims 2 for console, i think the gamecube ver. i unfortunately don't really remember my sim from that, but what i DO remember is the first family i made when the sims 3 came out in 2009.
it was a family of 7 child girls and a caretaker woman. i don't remember what they looked like, i just remember that much. i was 7 years old at the time.
the first time i played the sims 4 was 2018. my first sims 4 household that i made was me trying to recreate a couple of my ocs.
nowadays, all of my ocs ARE sims as that's my primary medium of character design. funny how that goes
I made a guy I named SpongeBob despite having nothing in common with him. Her lived with his old mom who died because the house smelled so bad (or that was what I thought happened at the time) and he was just constantly miserable. Funniest thing I had ever experienced at the time
My first Sim was my first OC who stays as my main character shes called yuri she has black hair red eyes and itās really long and she does dress a bit sluty thatās because she knows how to have some fun and I do remember because Iāve only recently joined Sims but I have wanted to play for about a decade I would say.
Mine was a pre-made sim that looked like an adventurer, but her outfit looked like how a teenager would dress when trying to find out their style.
Yes! My sister and I as children made a goth vampire decked out in blue leather called Mr. Blueberry and went around terrorizing all the households in Pleasantview and turning everyone into vampires until he got abducted by aliens and had a child. Then he turned his life around and married another dude we made called Mr. Cherry and they raised the child together.
I made myself, because a composer (top of Sims 3 music career) because I was a trumpet player and really wanted to go into it professionally after school. Ended up buying one of the 200k houses in Sunset Valley
Sure. It was Michaela Bachelorette, I purchased the cheapest lot on the game and made her the largest house I could. Then I had her meet Michael Bachelor and they got married and moved to his apartment. Then used her former estate to farm money. I still played with the couple every now and then but my primary objective was the to make a sim marry a bunch of times and once the first one died to trespass the money to the next couple and so on until I had enough money to buy all houses on the game. Needless to say it was a stupid plan but I didn't know the cheats at the time.
I vaguely remember making an alt teenager wearing a beanie in Sims 2. But my first Sims 3 sim was Sarah Reaper. Unemployed, evil, natural cook lol
My first Sim was a reporter named Clark Kent in Sims 1.
I donāt remember my first ever Sim, Iāve been playing a loooong time. However my first ever Sims 4 sim is still going in my main save- sheās a vampire matriarch of a 10 or so generation clan.
No but i used to make mine skinny š like zero muscle and fat
I remember some of the very firsts, but not the exact firsts. The ones I did remember, I remake to this day
i dont remember the name (probably something like jacquelyn- i was obsessed with THAT spelling of it too), with the body sliders all the way down, biggest boobs, a pink bun, and that red leather vest top with the matching bottoms. she also probably had the romantic trait.
I don't remember the Sim, but it was the original Sims. I was nine years old, traveling and at a much older cousins house. She let me play. The house caught fire and my Sim died because as a kid, I didn't think about buying a fire alarm or a phone. Lol
Couldnāt tell ya my first sim, but I vividly remember this red-headed family I made with my friends. They had a baby boy who we named Kipper (I do not know why) and we had NO idea how to properly care for him. He ultimately got taken away by the social worker and we all cried. š¬
I was seven and my cousin showed me sims 2. She thought Iād make a pretty lady but I made a handsome man with dark hair and steely eyes with a nightclub type silk button up shirt.
I have little to no memory of my first sim. I was like 6 or 7. I just know I named everyone by mashing my hands on the keyboard. I thought it was peak comedy.
Aww man on my cousins computer sims 2 man she hardly ever let me play even when she was not playing ughh evil old cousins lol, she is partially part of my obsession she can never touch all the sims I have now mwahahahaha. As far as my sim simple he was basically Don Lothario with my face on it š„ø
I was 9, and I made this couple in The Sims 1. I didn't realize it at the time, but I gave the husband the most generic American name: Joe Smith. I used the head with the blonde hair and mustache, and gave him the suit. His wife was named Emilia, and she used the same head as Betty Newbie
The husband ended up electrocuting himself to death while repairing the lamp. His wife then started a kitchen fire shortly after. I didn't save
My first sim was one of the 4 or so default female sims in SIMS 1. I remember she was the only brown one š The sims franchise has come so far!
Definitely it was myself and my crush in The Sims 1.
It was an adult female Sim and her child-aged sister. I donāt remember the first names but I remember the surname was Neves. This would have been circa May 2000, so 24 years ago!
As soon as we got the sims 1 my sister and I sat at the family computer together and decided to make our irl family. Within 5 minutes a fire started and all of them died.
I donāt remember their name but my first simās life was pretty quick. I didnāt know you could just move the camera wherever you wanted without your sim nearby so I was using her to look around the town. I ignored all her needs and she died of starvation.
I made a family with two sons, a daughter, and a mom and dad. Very boring but it was fun. Their house was absolutely hideous though.
I played the Sims 1 at my grandparents' house when I was a kid. I made my mom, my dad, myself, and my brother... My brother got sent to military school. My dad died, and my mom and I got stuck in a too narrow hallway peeing ourself, crying, and falling asleep in the pee puddles. The Sims 1 is brutal.
Made my family including myself then slowly watched them die because I despise them all
I do.
This is all the way back in Sims 1 but my first Sim household I ever made was the Smith family. A family of 3 brothers: Joe (oldest brother, serious, by the book police officer), James or Jon (hippie middle child who was chill and active and worked in the medical field), and then Jace (Youngest, Criminal).
I kinda wanna recreate them now lol
Didn't have access to a computer/the sims until 2017. my first household in the sims 4 was 4 teensge roommates, 2 girls 2 boys, each with their own dreams, backstory, etc i wrote down.
I remember one had that awful old afro hairstyle and wanted to become a botanist
Oh yes. Ive been with the game since the beginning Sims 1 no expansions yet. I remember the house, and she worked in the medical field. At one point after several expansions my computer broke, for 5 months I planned how I would play once I got a new computer! I was literally obsessed. 12 years old! I'm 37 now and still love this game!
In the original sims, after doing the tutorial, I immediately made a family. I can't remember if there were 2 parents or 1 but there were 2 kids. I had one sim go cook and they started a fire. I didn't know how to put it out or call the firefighters etc. The entire family died.
It was Summer 2000 or 2001. My older cousin from Florida came up with his grandfather to visit my grandmother, who is his great-aunt. He shows me this game and we make a character to mess around with. I don't remember his given name, but we gave him the family name of Merde because we thought it was funny to put it past my grandmother, who had no idea what it meant. Good times. :)
In the original Sims, I made my simself as an adult and promptly died in a fire after lighting fireworks inside the big mansion. Not understanding what happened I recreated my simself and died lighting fireworks inside the big mansion again.
Iāve played many hours of The Sims 2 on PS2 but after 10+ years I finally picked it back up and began to play The Sims 4 on my PS5. I donāt remember any of the sims I made on PS2.
On my first night playing TS4, I made her. Cryptella Vessel. She was an old Asian sim who hated children and was extremely erratic and had odd tastes and friends, but she was elderly and died before my eyes and it made me so sad that I created a brand new version of her but younger.
It was 2000 and my mom downloaded a custom Dracula head and clothes so I could make my "self sim" marry Dracula. So it was Dracula.
Not my first sim but the first one that made me invested in the sims and loved her so much.
Claire Hobson, YA. She went to university and got a degree in history, moved to the city and then went on a major archaeology expedition in the jungle. Fell in love with a local, became rich off her findings and lived in a nice lol apartment with her husband and kids š¤£
Rip to my Covid quarantine sim. You were the real mvp ā¤ļø
Yes! Her name was Raeanne (a name I always thought was cool) she had pink hair and a side shave. All black and white preppy clothing, and she had a concrete house that was two boxes with a completely open floor plan except the bathroom. She also had a cupcake machine. She died because she blew out the candles too many times on her birthday
I wish I could go back and look, it was on a random old family computer, Sims 2 I believe (or 3? i dont remember what I played first.) I used to go through Sims like crazy and probably made like 20 in one day. Good times
My first sim was of myself, I was staying at my brothers apartment, he had the sims, I was like 8.
I remember making a single mom to 2 kids who got taken away? Unless Iām remembering wrong? But Iām almost 90% sure they got taken from the police because the mom wa working.
You played the first sims game in 2006? Why didn't you play sims 2? It was out since 2004
It was 22 years ago and in the Sims1. I have zero recollection of whoever they were and Sims1 didn't exactly give you many options š
I was SO excited to play The Sims 1 for the first time - my parents had come home with it too late for me to play before bed so I got up extra early before school. Desperate to just -play- I skipped the tutorial and quickly made a "me" Sim. While I moved her into the smallest house, I bought the most expensive bed I could and then all my simoleons were gone. Having skipped the tutorial, I had no idea that I could sell it and was basically like "guess she's just gotta go to work." So she literally just had a bed in her house. And before I even left for school my me-sim repeatedly peed herself and starved to death - but boy did she sleep well.
My sister and I made our parents, ourselves, and then human versions of our cats š
I wonder what ever happens to our first sims. I'd love to see follow up lives haha.
Years ago, I was inspired by GrayStillPlays to create sims with weird names. The only ones I remember are Vinny Gor, who was evil and always wore pink; Winter Bine, who had teal hair; and pleasek1llvinny, a depressed teen. I also didn't know that there were different outfit categories or how to build, so you can image how that played out. I have no idea what I even did in that save file, tbh.
Very first? No. I was about seven too when I started making my first sims. I do remember my first sims 4 sim though. Mason Peterson, who ended up being the penultimate family man. He married summer Holliday.
Yes. I was 7 years old and didn't even play with her. But that night I decided to make up stories about her, give her a family in my head and just develop her more.
It's been 9 years and I haven't stopped. Help.
I've been playing since TS1 came out, so I don't remember my first sim ever. But I do remember the first one I made for the Sims 4. I had a character in mind based on musician and artist Yvette Young. My sim didn't look like her, but she played piano, guitar, and violin, and she also painted. I don't remember her name, but I remember I used the Maxis premade sim June Kay as a base, and she was really skinny. With the base game clothes, hair, and makeup, she honestly looked kind of awkward. I ended up making her over after a few years and she looked much more believable.
He was a single dad who adopted a baby immediately and I couldnāt figure out how to buy baby stuff so she just slept on the floor
In the free CAS demo I made myself (it was so painfully 2014 hipster I made myself look like Zooey Deschanel) and then when the game actually came out I made a lesbian couple with their adoptive daughter
I don't remember great details because it was the sims 1 and u was like 8 or 9. However, what I do remember was watching the child of the family die in a kitchen fire. Me and my brother couldn't stop it and we just watched in shock. We turned off the game afterwards and went to tell my mum of the trauma.
I made a version of myself. It was in the Sims 2, and I didnāt know how needs worked. Unfortunately I did not stock the fridge, and one day she bent over to pick up the newspaper, collapsed, and died :(
I literally made Bob Newbie in Sims 1 way back when I first played it
The first Sims game I played was The Sims 2 and the first Sims me and my sister made was our family. I remember we moved them into Veronaville and into the Forsythe Place house from the bin.
I think the first Sim I made in The Sims 3 was a young adult guy named Dude Weird, he was an artist and became a rockstar in the music career. I also remember that we thought the Motherlode cheat didnāt work anymore, so he just had a tiny little house.
I dont remember what name I gave to my sim in Sims 1 as a kid but I know it was based on me because of the zodiac. I was playing with my cousins long ago we were just curious about the game but didnt touch it much after that.
Long after not playing sims, I started to play Sims 4 in my 20's (when the base game is free). The first sims I ever created were roommates namely Nikki, Esmeralda Zhang-Romero, Jared & Kevin Li (Kevin had a noncommittal trait, he looks abit like Kiyoshi Ito from Snowy Escape, I didnt know him at that time). I was actually picturing my ideal guy creating Kevin except for the noncommittal part. They lived at Willow Creek but I didn't know what to do with them, so I created their neighbours, the Mercado family with toddlers (dont remember their fullnames). Somehow the husband died when stargazing, didnt know sims could die from that and I dont remember how the wife died, the toddlers were taken away by cps.
I newly bought Paranormal stuff pack at that time, then moved the four housemates to the Mercados old house and turned it into a haunted lot. The rest were history.
i donāt remember her name or traits but i DO remember getting geoffrey landgraab to divorce nancy so he could marry my sim and she could live in house and then immediately going to the altoās house
Girl that was like 20 years and 3000 sims ago lol
When I was maybe 14 I made someone I wished I could grow up to be. She was a beautiful woman with the creative and loyal traits. She became a famous author. I also made her a girlfriend and they adopted a baby. I should have realized I was trans right then, but unfortunately it took another 5 years lol
I made a human version of my childhood cat in sims 2 when I was like maybe 9? Lol š she was my mom and then I made myself as a teen I think ?
I dont remember her name. But i made a blond young adult in sims 3. She was the start of a 100 baby chalenge
As someone who played The Sims 1 from 2000-2015 without expansion packs or CC, I never really liked making Sims. I normally just used the pre-made Sims, particularly the Newbie family. I gotta see if I can download them from the gallery for 4. Hmmm lol.
Sims 1, back in the day. I made a short-haired Mongolian girl named Chaila. She had a military career and was super cool. (If youāre wondering why would an Israeli kid create a specifically Mongolian girl - no clue, Iāve never even met anyone from Mongolia until I was much older. It just seemed cool).
Yeah, I had a guy who looked a lot like Alex Moyer. When I first met her I thought she was either some sort of character that the game makes when you start the game that your supposed to get married to, or it was simply a coincidence that she looked like the genderbent version of my guy. I ended up divorcing because her personality annoyed me but I couldn't figure out how to get rid of her so I just deleted the save and started over.
It was 2006, I was the ripe age of 12. i made myself and panic at the disco. I was married to the lead singer and would have affairs with other band members.
the first sim i ever made was named Margot and she was a witch with blue hair and a septum ring.
My first (and all time favorite) game was Sims 2: Castaway for DS. I played through it several times but always made the same sim - female, thin body type, palest skin tone, red hair, blue eyes. I was obsessed with the red hair + blue eyes combo for an embarrassingly long time.
Sims 3 - I made the same sim and gave her the "have 10 kids" lifetime goal (or whatever it was). I immediately got her pregnant by a random townie and played until the baby aged up to toddler, at which point I got sad because it didn't have her red hair and abandoned the save lol
Sims 4 - I have no idea what my first sim was...maybe my simself? The first long-running save I had was definitely my simself legacy, which I played for 8 generations.
My first sims were my own family, in The Sims. I ran out of money by building my dream home, not realizing that you didnāt have much to start with. My sim-self was taken away by CPS because I didnāt make her do homework. I was quite upset by that, so I made a new family that wasnāt based on reality!
It was the sims 1, and I don't remember much. All I remember is playing with the Goth and Newbie households all the time.
I remember in Sims 2 I had a mom with black hair and her baby got taken away lmao. I quit without saving. I think I was like 9 or 10
ETA: I played with my best friend on one computer, basically one of us would play for 30 minutes while the other watched, and then we switched. Such a cute memory. She gets married next weekend, crazy how time flies.
Sims 1: A Sim version of Bruce Wayne. Made him work in the Business career.
I made a Sim of my best friend. He passed away a few months before I got the game. It was very comforting.
Mine was just me, and I downloaded a rich husband from the internet šĀ
I don't think I did anything other than play house but my brothers played too and they ruined the lives of all of the default Sima in town so I just was kind of witness to all of that.Ā
Nope I remember her vividly. I had The Sims, the edition with the extra party packs, and Makin Magic.
The blonde updo head with the beauty mark on her upper lip with the olive green renaissance faire wench dress.
I would pay $20+ for someone to make cc for me of those CAS items
Ps2 sims demo game. My brother would make this female character that had a blue shirt, Jean shorts, and medium length red hair. He made that exact same sim every single time. And when I started to play, I also made that exact same sim every time. Until one day I switched it up, but no idea what to lol
Sims 2, he had the mowhawk, blond. Long but sharp features. the matrix style black coat with the specs and big chunky black boots (and the love heart boxers)
His name was bob he lived in a trailer he died cooking a cake. I miss him dearly
I made two characters in Sims 3, I think I remember the girl had red hair and the guy had black. I bought them a cute quaint home, adored them together and spent ages playing it. Eventually I thought I was ready for them to have kids, then they had triplets. I was overwhelmed by it all and that was the end of that. :āD
yeah i cant remember her name but she had one daughter and married don lothario
It's been so long, but I remember bits and pieces. I remember it was a mother and teen daughter who lived on Mosquito Cove in Sunset Valley specifically, and they had the surname "Honey" because I was OBSESSED with the book Matilda as a kid.
Yes I remember. I got Sims 1 about a month after it came out and i tried to make Cardcaptor Sakura but, being 12 and new to the game, I didnāt really understand that a random adult woman sim wasnāt going to be a perfect representation of her. I also didnāt realize that you couldnāt put three unrelated sims in a house and have them be a family, you had to develop family relationships on your own. It was frustrating.
I do and I constantly recreated them in various forms throughout the Sims series. She was basically the person I wanted to be lol
Blue ugly Shrek who was an abusive father
A red haired woman with green eyes in the Sims 2. She had that wavy hair, but I can't remember her name. I made her in the Sims 3 and 4 at the beginning, too.
I was a kid too, back in 2000, my mum bought me the game and I had no idea on what to do so I created the first Sim ever with my own name. Her Zodiac was a Capricorn like me so had all the traits that automatically came with being a Cap. After that, every sim in 2, 3 and now even 4 the very first sim of the family has my name
Boring and nothing particular self insert on sims 1 that died in fews days because as a little kid, sims 1 was a survival game to me š
I do. I donāt remember his name though, I think It was Markoā¦ something. It was in Sims 2, Pleasantview, and I moved him into one of those small modern houses that the Calientes and Don Lothario live in. He had black hair, a blue shirt and white pants and was desperate do find a girlfriend and start a family (idk if he was actually a family sim but thatās what i always did with my sims anyway) but nobody liked him š He also didnāt have any space for a double bed and I couldnāt figure out how to rebuild the space upstairs to fit a proper bed so he ended up sad and alone š
Sims 2, her name was Raven and she had blonde hair, I was 10 I think
I can't remember what it looked like now but it was a sim I made in the Sims castaways for DS
I dont remember physical details of her but I made my first Sim ever in Sims 2 Castaway PSP game.
First Sim I ever created in the main series was a Witch in TS2 Apartment Life.
Now I mainly play TS3 and always create my own Sims, but back then I always played one of the default families. Like I spent years fucking around with the TS1 tutorial family. I never really had a good computer for TS2 era so I only played TS1 and console games of TS2. Until TS3 which I had a good enough computer to play at the time.
I think I was 5 when I played Sims for the first time, my sister just got the Sims Making Magic pack, I can't remember my very first one but one of them I made 2 kids, had them live on like a play ground on a lot, nothing else and no parents. Other than that for the most part I remember always playing the townies through Sims 1 and 2, the storylines were soo good then š Sims 3 I started making my own, loved the vampire pack- one storyline was a vampire rock star š¤
I always played with the pre made sims idk the order my sis played a lot back in the day idk her first sim it was a long ago I would watch sometimes and play with her sims or other sims
Oh yes... I first got to try Sims 2 on PC at a friend's house, and only had the time to create one sim. I'm not sure where in this timeline the Sims 1 happened to me? It might be that I had sims 1 already and it was the first time I got to try 2..
Well anyway, once I got my hands on a copy of sims 2 myself, I tried to create an exact copy of the sim I made before. She was an edgy teenager with heavy makeup and that red corset top, and then I made a teen boy with blonde hair and all black clothing. I had an adult move out so the two teenagers could live together, fall in love and so on.
Then when they were grown up and started having kids, during the second pregnancy the woman passed away from hunger because it was such a pain managing someone with low sleep AND hunger! The first kid was just a baby and the dad took care of her. I remember it being so emotional that the kid was the only thing left of my beloved sim š The dad later on fell in love with a bartender he had at his and the wife's wedding I think? And they lived a happy ever after I'm sure š
in my very early days of the sims 2, i usually made blonde sims with tan skin. and i almost always gave the male sims makeup, especially the light pink lipstick
I was in my twilight era lol
Mine was several dogs on TS2 at a friend's house š
yes, i remember i also made my sims like an oc anime character, and mines was some emo looking white girl w the coloured pixie cut, the goth purple long sleeve shirt w the rips and the fishnets, w the bulky black buckle knee high boots, black skinny jeans, the DAMN SCENE BELT STAPLE, spiked black collar, dark eye makeup and the suuuuuper long nails. i forgot which sims that was but ik i was the way older ones (either 2 or bustinā out i rlly cant remember). but literally my top fave to make every time. she was always white tho bc at the time i didnāt know black people could be goth/emo (i was like 7/8 man š) her traits? i barely remember but ik she was evil and insane lmao. same w her name i forgot. but i will never forget them super long iconic nails š i RAN to them every time in CAS.
I created my family and built a replica of our house. They immediately set fire to the house and killed everyone and I was devastated (Sims 2, age 7). My Dad then only make one Sim and I made myself again
a man in a turtleneck called "pasta"
I don't remember my first sim ever but I will never forget the first dog my sim adopted in Sims 2! Her name was Cleo and she was so sweet. After she died, her ghost haunted everything and it terrified me š
Sims 2: It was probably me but as a young adult. Despite being really into the emo scene, I always put myself in a white tank, low rise jeans, and flip flops thinking that was what hot girls wore. We played on my friend's computer because I didn't own the game for awhile so he would make himself dressed as Amy Lee.
Shortly after was probably the cast of Yugioh where I'd spend all my time trying to get married and have kids with Seto Kaiba. My friend would try to get with Bakura.
I'd been losing some steam with Sims 4 recently. Honestly, in 2021, I lost a bunch of saves I was super invested in (thanks OneDrive) and haven't really felt the same spark since. So I created my OC as well as the cast of Yu-Gi-Oh! and chased after Seto Kaiba for old times sake. It's been kinda fun and nostalgic!
I donāt remember her name, but she was this girl with blonde hair and a really conservative fit on (off brand for me lol) and I didnāt understand how the game worked so I tried to marry her to Johnny zest but he was aromantic and on her birthday I had her blow out the candles twice š« I abandoned that pretty quickly
Sims 1, in 2001, I was a kid: I made the Baudelaire siblings (from A Series of Unfortunate Events) where Violet was an adult, Klaus a child, and Sunny a child. I didnāt understand how buying walls spent your money, so I started building an elaborate Baudelaire mansion and ended up broke. They had to live for a few days out in the elements, constantly crying and screaming about their needs, while I coaxed Violet into being happy enough to go to her job. After a couple of Sim days I realized that deleting the walls (one square at a time, because Sims 1) would refund me some of the money. I built a simple cottage and improved overall happiness. I was completely engrossed in my proto-Rags to Riches challenge and thatās when the Sims fire was lit for me. A few IRL days later, a friendās older brother told me about the money cheat; cue Violet Baudelaire lounging on a black leather couch sat atop polka dot carpet.
My tradition since then is to create the Baudelaire family as my first family anytime a new iteration of the Sims gets released.
Yes I did my whole family on Sims 1
We all died because of the hamster biting us
I made myself, but with blue hair because it was cool. My best friend made a version of herself, with the same blue hair. We each got married to a Backstreet Boy.
I miss the early 2000s.
