I regularly babysit my nephews, and before I put them to bed I like to watch an episode or two of something to help wind them down. They're 7 and 9. They especially like cartoons, and I would like to keep things on the family friendly side. We've watched Gravity Falls and Avatar the Last Airbender which they liked.
- The Baby-Sitters Club (Netflix ver)
- Over the Garden Wall
- 1996 Sabrina Teenage the Witch
the owl house is a pretty great show. i also recommend the legend of korra since they liked avatar
I completely forgot Korra existed. I think thats where we'll go next, and I'll take a look at Owl House

your nephews will love it very adapted to their age
while we're at it I'm gonna introduce them to The Boys too
My nieces love Dr Who!
I think I'll have to skip some episodes because it could be a bit scary before bedtime, but could be a great idea
The Owl House + Amphibia are set in the same multi/universe as Gravity Falls, so they're definitely worth watching.
The Legend of Korra is the sequel to ATLA... though many will tell you they prefer the first series (depends on the person).
Dead End: Paranormal Park. Here's the trailer. (Has some heavy topics, but it's still a good watch. Short as well- two seasons with only 20 episodes in total; around 24 minutes each... so it would be a quick show to get through.) Two teens & a pug get hired at a haunted amusement park, who unwillingly end up battling demons.
Steven Universe (Couldn't find an official trailer, but here's the OP for S1.) A 13-year-old boy with a magical gem in place of his belly button fights alien creatures with his mother's old team. Episodes are 11 minutes long. Definitely the kind of show that was (& still is) popular among any age group. Even had a movie + a sequel.
Teen Titans (2003). The original series. Definitely not talking about the more recent one. The original intended age-range was 6-11, but gained popularity with young teens & even adults.
A seriously underrated show, is Glitch Techs, which I'm sure this new generation would greatly enjoy (promo). It's about these two teens who get hired at a GameStop-like company called 'Hinobi' to fight glitches that leak out from video games, into the real world.
Star vs The Forces of Evil (OP): A wild princess from another dimension joins forces with a human boy to fight magic threats.
SpongeBob is classic. But for truly classic shows, G.I. Joe and He Man!
Adventure Time absolutely. Some of the later seasons/episodes can get a little dark and handle pretty serious themes, but as long as you’re conscious of that it’s a fantastic choice.
