So I downloaded the GOG version, got all the necessary graphic mods and such to run relatively smoothly. However I seemed to have two of everything after I installed NAM.
So as it turns out it seems I now have two plugins folders? Is that common with the GOG install? I have a plugins folder within the c:\GOG\Apps\Simcity4\Plugins or whatever...
but I also have one in My Documents/Simcity 4/Plugins
Somehow NAM was installed in both locations. I have now installed it in one location and that fixed that, but I do not seem to have any sort or TSCT to mess with the NAM traffic settings.
C:\GOG\Apps\Simcity4\Plugins is the folder where only DLL mods and mods that alter the city and region backgroud should be installed
My Documents/Simcity 4/Plugins is the folder where all mods should be installed
NAM and it is always set up to install by following this path: My Documents/Simcity 4/Plugins so if NAM is found in the plugins folder of the installation files you have to remove
TSCT has been made obsolete and so is no longer available from NAM 45 as we have radically changed the traffic simulator
