My housemate just got diagnosed with scabies after over a month of being misdiagnosed.

I share a shower with her and hand towels, common area, and a toilet.

She is a nurse and has just told us (me and my other two housemates, that the risk is low and we don’t need to treat at the same time, mostly because the treatment is so scarce atm.

I’m PISSED. I work in early learning and have severe OCD. I am well atm, but had an episode last year that lasted 10 months and I cannot go back in to that.

For me I need to know we have done things correctly to be able to move forward but she’s given us all bad medical advice but I don’t want to risk going all crazy 🤪

What are the chances of infection, and what can we do to minimise the spread?

She a spot on her hand and on her leg
