Gonna have to steal that one. Pathos Elemental is fucking awesome
HEY! THAT would be a VERY cool Band Name!
"PATHOS ELEMENTAL"!
Also he's got typecast as Hollywood Dad and lots of stories are about father figures.
Because he’s a great actor and probably cheaper than you think
I feel like he's hit that level of fame where he can just kinda do whatever he wants, regardless of pay, and that only benefits society at large
Plus he’s a good actor and very talented. Unlike this Gina who throws him under the bus.
If anything he needs to be in more shit
Eh, really like him but I think there's a risk of being over saturated which decreases the impact of seeing him in stuff, imo
Yeah. Many dislike Seth Rogan, Ryan Reynolds, and Akwafina because of the perception that they’re overcasted.
Huh none of them are imo. They are play certain roles a lot, but I feel like they’re not in that much in terms of amount of roles.
Apart from Deadpool and a few minor roles/cameos and Red Notice I feel like Ryan Reynolds for example isn’t in much.
I think maybe a better example would be Nicholas Cage. He's in so many different films of such dramatically varying quality that it really seems to water down his star quality. When he does get a genuinely good role though, he tends to surprise people. His performance as Spider-Man Noir immediately comes to mind. Really I think the guy just loves making movies.
Nicholas Cage literally had to take every job offered him that paid over $2mil to pay back the IRS.
Fair play to him, he actually worked his way out of massive debt, and he never phoned it in.
Also he once bought a Trex skull for a quarter mil, was informed it was stolen, and returned it. He’s a cool dude.
My older cousin used to work at a grocery store he frequented, reportedly he was incredibly polite and tipped very generously.
Why was there tipping at a grocery store? Don't get me wrong, that's very cool of Nicholas Cage, but still.
I’m just imagining him slipping a folded 20 into the shirt pocket of everyone in the store.
“Excuse me, where are light bulbs? Aisle 12? Thank you, my friend!”
It may not be encouraged/expected like a restaurant, but you can tip for any kind of service. I've received tips at every service job I've worked.
Yeah Cage is a very different situation. Man was literally in so much debt that the IRS were not happy
And he always looks like he's just having a grand time
National treasure is a good movie
Yes it is. Every Nic Cage movie is good imo.
Pig… that movie broke me haha
It was Willy’s Wonderland for me.
Nicholas Cage has been putting out some real bangers the last decade, though. I hope he's in more stuff.
Looking forward to his live action Noir, if that actually gets made.
I love that guy
Color out of Space was a weird one, his character was supposed to be going insane due to an otherworldly influence, but it all just seemed like generic Cage to me.
Any animated movie with Akwafina is one animated movie too many
Personally, I do find Ryan to be a bit over saturated, not even due to him appearing in too many movies. I just feel like I can’t stop seeing him/hearing people talk about him. Either an Ad, an appearance, people talking about him, etc. Just one of those celebrities that it feels like I hear his name or see his face atleast once a day and it starts to feel a bit old.
For me it's Chris Pratt, I loved him in Parks & Rec but since then it's been diminishing returns. I can't even watch anything he's in now.
I do love that Harrison Ford basically threatened to crash a fucking plane into Pratt’s house if he even thought about playing Indiana Jones in a remake
I fucking love Harrison Ford’s energy. Big part of why the show Shrinking is great. He plays a character with that kind of grumpy yet awesome energy.
For me, it started with Jurassic World. I think he’s great in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but his roles after that feel…I guess cookie cutter action?
The guy really sticks to a very specific role. Good for him for finding something that works, but I'm just not very interested.
I liked his work on Parks and Rec along with the Guardians Trilogy, but that's about it. Most of his other roles are just too same-y imo.
People hate Ryan reynolds?
Ryan Reynolds i hated because he seemed like a smarmy asshat, then he grew up and you could kinda tell he grew out of it, even when he was playing as a smarmy asshat
I dislike RR because he is exactly the same in everthing and isnt funny.
Almost no one dislikes Ryan Reynolds.
Who can hate Ryan Reynolds. That man is perfect, he's Marvel Jesus after all(I can't fucking wait for Deadpool and Wolverine)
Well, Melonie, the simple answer is that he’s not in everything.
That’s not true, he’s literally in my house right now. He’s been here for weeks and he follows me everywhere and I’m not gonna lie, it’s getting super annoying. He’s a talented guy but I really wish he would stick to movies and TV shows and cool it with the “watching me shower” stuff.
You can send him to my house.
I demand a Pedro pascal in every home!
I wish he were in me
To my great disappointment.
Yeah, in reality there are about 5-10k movies and TV shows that are produced all over the world. Pedro Pascal is in like maybe 5 of those.
He is being cast in a lot lately, he's been cast in Star Wars, Marvel and DC, plus TLOU and Gladiator, all in the last few years. That's more saturated than most actors ever see.
Nothing wrong with it of course, any Pedro is good Pedro.
funny she doesnt say this about Chris Pratt
Chris Pratt’s time as Hollywood’s darling ended. Pascal’s merely the next in line, his run will end soon and they will find a new trending actor. And another, and another, and another. A cycle that’s been going on since the dawn of Hollywood. One that people seem to rediscover with every single chosen actor.
Remember when Sam Worthington was the bext big thing? Some actors of staying power others dont.
Sam Worthington is a decent secondary guy, but not a good leading one.
Plus, he was being pushed heavy in the era where every other actor looked just like him. Crew cut, five o clock shadow, strong jaw. He couldn't stand out enough.
To be clear im not saying Pascal is going to go the worthington route. Hes a much much better actor. Hes really good in the whole jaded niche
When was he the next big thing? Aside from Avatar, all I can think about when I think of Sam Worthington is Terminator Salvation and Black Ops 2.
The 'Clash of the Titans' remake
Prior to Avatar and Terminator he was being hyped up as the next big star whose going to dominate Hollywood.
Might as well take the decent sounding projects while they're being offered
Hey, I'm not going to knock him for it. A smart man takes the opportunity to make enough money so that once the spotlight moves on he can make whatever the hell he wants for the rest of his life.
So what you're saying is it's time to give Douglas Fairbanks another shot.
I think Hollywood’s next white dude is going to be Glen Powell. I’ve seen him on a few Netflix movies that pop up when first logging in.
I feel like he's too old to play Reed Richards but i know for a fact Melonie Mac is just being racist
Nothing racist or bigoted about what she said. Unless she’s got some history of posting racist stuff?
She has a history of being a bigot towards gay people. Idk much but that seems to be the gist.
Ah ok, that explains it then. Don’t have Twitter so I have no clue who she is
And while Pascal is not (as far as I know) LGBTQ himself, he’s a very vocal ally much loved by the community.
She’s in the Nerdrotic/G+G/Quartering circle
Gross. So she’s one of those
Why not, he’s a fantastic actor who’s great in everything he’s in. Can’t wait to see him in this, The Last of Us season 2, Fantastic Four, The Mandalorian movie and season 4.
I cannot wait for TLOU Season 2.
Btw, nice PFP!
The Mandalorian movie
They wouldn't do a movie unless we saw his face right? He wouldn't just voice act?
The Mando movie has been confirmed and Pedro has been (mostly) in the suit and on screen since Mando S2. So he’s doing more than just voicing Mando, he’s actually playing him
Walking and talking Din Djarin is Pedro. Action scenes are Brendan Wayne and Lateef Crowder. All 3 of them deserve equal respect for making Mando such an awesome character.
Feels bad he has to fight to be credited as an actor rather than VA
Edit: why am i being downvoted? This was a real issue
Agreed 100%!!
Pedro has been (mostly) in the suit and on screen since Mando S2.
In a roundtable interview with THR he talked about how is in the suit less and less these days and in an interview with Variety he said it's "mostly a voice over gig".
I was just about to say how the hell this reply racist untill I saw it was Melonie Mac and I’m like yea she might say something racist about him
Just go and eat some more butter you dumb asshole.
Why does Melanie Mac still breathe? He’s what Jude Law was in the early 2000s after all 🤷
Because he's daddy.
Hey, Mel, why aren't you on anything accept The Quartering and Louder with Crowder?
He isn't. It's just that the series and films he is in are really good and become really popular.
Wait how is what she said racism? I dunno who she is if there’s more context here… but the tweet isn’t inherently racist
Melonie Mac is notoriously bigoted. Like, to an insane degree.
Ah I see. Carry on
Because he is Daddy?
Omg i cant stand this dumb bigoted twat 🙄
She is, but not because of this comment
Even though she mentioned nothing about race...
Maybe but she is still a piece of shit regardless
I think the title is unnecessary
But he’s become prominent in many projects for being a diverse actor
I don’t know how that makes her racist? Icl he’s a great actor but seeing someone in everything gets annoying to me too. Glenn Powell for example.
Or has she like.. been known to say racist shit?
Checked out her twitter. She's pretty nutters. Christofash, vehemently anti-lgbt, the usual.
If you know who Melonie Mac is it would make more sense.
Oh ok it's a iykyk situation because I for sure didn't know yet and was like wtf
Not exactly racist, but she lost all her sponsors and half her fanbase because she was obsessed with saying the f-slur for gay folks. Not racist, I know, but is it a long leap?
It makes even more sense, as Pedro Pascal is a vocal ally.
I think OP is referring to other things she have said that are racist
I'm more concerned that they're making Gladiator 2 tbh. Does it really need a sequel?
Okay real quick, is there a backstory to this lady? Saying “Why is he in everything?” Is not racist at all I think, but, if there is backstory, please tell.

Woah does she have a history of being a bigot because like asking why an actor shows up a lot is a common thing.
It’s the same 5 “actors” in everything.
Is it acting if the person is the same character in every roll?
He hasn't been in me yet.
And he'd be great in that!
Why is she in nothing?
Because he’s a good actor and the things he’s done recently have been generally popular.
Good actor and the studio is riding on his audience familiarity aka everyone know who he is and thought hey that last movie/tv show he was in was great I wonder if this new one will be it too.
It only feels like he's in everything because Hollywood doesn't do stars anymore. There are a few but nothing like when every movie had DeNiro, Hanks, Pacino, Gibson, Snipes, Murphy, Ryan, Cruise, Diaz, etc.
Because he's popular and people want to see movies with him
But he also triggers transphobes so that's good enough for me
The very concept of the anti-wokes having their own DEIs is very funny and ironic. What sort of christian is she? Pretty sure the extreme ones would not let her have a voice.
I have no idea who that is. He is in everything lately so was very confused by the reaction. But I guess you know her so have that knee jerk reaction.
So why is he in everything?
Cause he's a good actor
Cuz he's goated
Lmao, looking at the last 5 years on imdb, he's been in two shows and like 10 movies, only 2 of which had any real press
Because he's proven he can do Action (Game of Thrones), Drama (The Last of us), Comedy (The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent), movies, TV equally. That man is just plain awesome, and he loves his sibling!
They act like this is new. Hollywood literally likes/ allows like 10 actors and 5 actresses to do everything and only them. It’s not new. If anything I’m glad we are SLOWLY starting to see them expand that roster or cast more “new” faces to get their breaks. Pedro finally had his only like, what, 5/6 years ago? He’s finally getting his flowers. Of course he’s gonna be in every fucking thing that anyone can afford to get him for.
Pedro lookin fine over here
God I wish he was in everything… 😮💨
Can you explain to me like I'm 5 why that question is racist and bigoted? Or is there context I'm missing?
What exactly is racist and bigoted about this particular comment? Is this person known to be racist, so that's where it comes from?
Melonie mac. She’s known for hateful comments towards the LGBT community
I bet she'll be whining about Denzel Washington's inclusion in the movie (and given her level of ignorance, Djimon Hounsou even though he was in the first one). Also Paul Mescal is the film's lead. Mescal and Pascal.
How does asking "why is he in everything" make her racist or bigoted?
I mean i love Pedro but he is a bit overexposed. But fuck it this movie is about to be amazing
Unfortunately, probably not.
Melonie Mac shows why religion is brain rot
His last project was Merge Mansion, so he is so hot right now.
I hope the caption is ironic
But all the Greeks were pure white like snow. Same with the Egyptians right???? right???
Because he’s a really good actor
everyone wants the pascussy
Also, whats BIPOC?
Everything? He’s been in a few major things recently that come to mind. Mando, Last of Us, WW84. Ooo, that’s just way too much! Wait till they hear about Leonardo DiCaprio!
I've never heard of her, who is that?
Melonie mac. She’s known to be hateful towards the LGBT community
Honestly good for him, I'm honestly excited to see him in something so far removed from what I've seen him in so far, ie Mandalorian, The Last of US.
He's hot and a good actor
Doesn't necessarily look like a comment that carries anger or disappointment, could be just a "wow this dude is everywhere."
Any context I'm missing? Who is Melonie Mac?
Why not? He's a good actor so of course he's gonna get parts.
Cool voice, good actor, great agents
People complain about everything sometimes.
I just hope his fights here go better than they did in Game of Thrones. Knowing the period of Imperial Rome this is in, it won’t lol
I fail to see how asking why an actor is “in everything” makes someone racist, but you do you. Unless I’m missing context and this person is a known racist.
How is that question racist? Seems like a strange assumption given that he is white and so is she.
The moment a racist sees a minority in somenthing they focus all of their mental capacity to focus on that minority and they focus on it so much that they start thinking it is everywhere because when the racist sees somenthing else they will still be thinking about that minority.
There are multiple talented actors who don't appear in more things. The main reason he's in so much materials is because he brings in a hoards of thristy fans, but I don't mind, cause he's a good actor, so I get good shit out of it too.
But yeah, hollywood has always been like that, an actor becomes hot and we start seeing them in a lot of project at once (it used to be Tom Holland not that long ago and not Timothy is slowly taking his place) and then once the "novelty" wears off, they stabilize again and either they keep appearing in stuff but at a more "normal" rate or disappear.
Don't understand where the racism and bigotry is.
He's not "in everything" I can name numerous TV shows and movies that he hasn't appeared in released recently.
Just another idiot letting their bigot flag fly for all to see in the hopes of getting some attention.
Why does that armor look so badass tho?
He's the new Benedict Cumberbatch.
I wish he was in everything
I was with you till you said e-girl. Now I can fix her.
am i missing something? pascal is a trending actor and has obviously been in a lot of stuff recently, it really doesn’t seem like an unreasonable tweet…
So, is this just another story set in the Gladiator universe or a direct sequel?
He’s not in me :(
I love Pedro and am happy to have him in everything.
But am I missing something here OP? Why is what they said racist? Perhaps there is something further they said I have not seen. But just because they question why somebody is in everything does not necessarily come from a place of racism.
We should be careful how we call these things out otherwise we lessen the impact if calling out true racism and hate.
Everything? I don't know about that. Meanwhile we got Giancarlo Espisito who is actually everywhere and always playing the same charecter.
That and he seems to be the kind of guy who people like having around and he works in an industry where having friends is a serious skill
to be fair i also get tired of seeing the same actors/actresses in everything
Hmmmm. No word on the star being Irish or the star of the original being Australian. I wonder white could possibly be different about this to these people.
Why did no-one ever ask this about Kevin Spacey, Phillip Seymour Joffman, etc? Oh wait, I think I know why…
The fact is, Hollywood stars who catch fire run into a hot period in which they land multiple roles of various sizes in a relatively short period. This often happens as a star is transitioning from supporting actor to leading actor status, and winds up getting both types of roles. There’s nothing unusual about this.
I thought this was just some meme until I saw the title and sub, who the fuck is she?
Melonie mac. She’s known for hateful comments towards the LGBT community
Am I missing context? Because it really does feel like he’s in everything these days, considering I can’t remember a thing he did before mando
Who’s the woman? Why is she racist.
Wonder if she’s asked the same question in regards to Chris Pratt?
Who is this chick?
Sauce is sauce
I was honestly surprised with how much I loved Pedro’s acting ngl
Pascal is in everything because he's a talented actor, same as why Elba and Gosling are cast frequently.
Handsome man that millions of women swoon over gets casted in lead role. Later: dog barks.
Because he's amazing? Also what is the issue? Romans had legions made up from every province they owned. They were extremely multiracial and multicultural.
Respectfully how exactly is this racist or bigoted? There is nothing mentioning racism, just asking why an actor is in a bunch of things. I’d first assume it’s a genuine question as opposed to racism
That woman is incredibly mentally ill
Only role I worry about is Reed Richard’s, but I’m hoping to be proven wrong.
She really needs to just go away. Her only fans are just more hateful dickheads
Calm down bro he is in a lot of shit recently (which is a good thing)
The same reason any actor gets cast in lots of productions: people will watch just because he's in it.
It's called being a "movie star" I think.
he’s literally just an amazing actor ???
Why she gotta be racist for asking? Because he's not white?
Because he’s daddy
Are chuds mad yet about a non-white guy playing a Roman?
Oh no, talented dude appears in a lot of projects. Must need have to hate them!
Same thing with our girl Debra Wilson
It's not racist or bigoted to realize he is in damn near everything nowadays. Mandalorian. Last of us. That one movie with him and nick cage. Wonder woman 1984. This movie now.
I have a much more neutral take…..cause he’s the “It” guy right now.
Like Will Smith in the 2000s
Why do people jump to race. Maybe she is just asking? Why was Mel Gibson in everything? Fucking people.
This is the way
I'm glad he's in a lot of stuff, maybe it's a bit forced, but that happens to a ton of very attractive actors
It's really awesome he's also a great actor, which is even better since unlike a lot of other actors, when you watch him you get taken out of the movie less from realizing he's Pedro Pascal
I was wondering what that black heart emoji on her profile pic stood for and now after I googled it, I've deduced that this person is pure trash. Especially with the combo of Christianity, probably gamergate shit and just saying out loud at this point that you lack empathy.
How do you say you love Jesus and say you have no empathy at the same time? Make it make sense.
In their defense this man has been in star wars, The last of us, Marvel (soon), DC, Kingsman, and soon The Last Robot, in like the last 5-6 years?
Think better question is how? Dude is literally in everything
He was a house hood name for a little while during game of thrones, and shot to stardom almost over night in The Mandolorian. Right after that he stars in one of the best video game tv shows put to film. He’s fresh and new relatively speaking and now people know what he can do. Plus he seems really sweet. People might just like working with him.
I'm going to have to go against this one, I see western media like anime. They seem to recycle the same actors whereas Japan doesn't. Kind of takes away roles better suited for other actors, it's like a pitch board meeting and they're like "who's popular right now? Chris Hemsworth? We'll use him!"
I was gonna ask where the racism and bigotry comment came from then I saw who made the tweet lol. Yeah that makes sense.
However I also think it's a little annoying how often I see him in roles other people could play. I liked him in Mandalorian, that Nic Cage movie, and a few other things, but I see him in stuff I wish he wasn't too. Like TLOU, I think he was an awful choice for Joel. And it's not his fault tbh, I just think he didn't work well at adapting Joel and someone else should've been picked
How is her question racist though
Pedro is in everything because he’s like a pathos elemental and both TV and films are weighted towards drama and tragic heroes
