My gf wants more pics with me but I hate the way I look? [27M] [26F]

So basically my gf has been getting annoyed at me for not taking enough pictures with her. Which I do get. But what I haven’t told her is that I don’t like pictures because I’m worried she’ll see them and lose interest in me.

I don’t picture well at all. My mates have told me I’m much better in person and take the piss out of me saying I just can’t take a good picture. But I really really hate looking at images of myself.

She’s a really attractive girl. I don’t want to tell her how I feel coz obviously this kind of thing isn’t attractive. But I’m not sure how to change it.

Buddy if your girlfriend is annoyed at you for not taking pictures with you in them, it's because she wants to look pictures of you. So however self conscious you may feel, ultimately she will react positively to you making the effort to give her a nice picture.

I had to learn to do this myself, and eventually it becomes normal. Just remember that she will like the pictures of you

I think maybe your insecurity is getting the better of you my man. She thinks you’re attractive. Pictures aren’t going to change that. Even if you did look worse in pictures than in real life (which I very much doubt is as different as you think it is), she still knows what you look like and is attracted to you in real life. I would just send her more pictures and know that she’s with you and is attracted to you. I wouldn’t worry about it.

Let her take the pictures and don't look at them yourself. Or you could talk to her about it if you feel this strongly about it. It's not unattractive to talk and communicate. From her perspective you are just reluctant to take pictures and she has to come up with reasons by herself. Your perspectives are both understandable so finding common ground is best.

You should tell her that, man. Have a heart-to-heart with her and be genuine.

She’ll undoubtedly try to boost you up, but emphasize this is a battle with yourself and there’s not much she can do atm.

But she’s with you, so that means she’s attracted to you and thinks you’re handsome. She does not see you with your eyes, only hers. Take that into consideration.

My brother-in-arms, I truly understand. I do. But if she has a negative response to your insecurities, she can kick rocks, just like any other woman who did in your life. You deserve better, but you have to be willing to extend some vulnerability.

As a girl, I love taking pictures with my BF who is just like you, he’ll try to avoid it at all cost because he doesn’t find himself attractive on the pictures. And it makes me so sad that we don’t have a lot of pictures together. You see, I love him just the way he is, the picture I take is for capturing all the happy moment, it’s our memory, so when we grow old together we can look at our past souvenir and smile ! So put your ego away 2min and take that picture with her

How I feel when I see them. I worry about what other people will say about me when she posts it on Instagram. I’m worried she’ll get sick of me looking shit in photos

So that’s 100% your ego man. Maybe you can ask her to not post the pics on Insta, it may help you and prove her you are willing to compromise : you accept taking pics with her more often but she doesn’t post them all.

But at this point you have to work on yourself, on your self confidence, and you have to trust the fact that she chose you, not someone else !

And if you don't like something you can't fix, work on getting over it. If there is something you can change, take small steps towards working on that goal.

Treat yourself to some good clothes/outfits that you feel confident in. You deserve it.
