If they tell you the budget is $140k and then offer you $140k that’s probably their best and final. You’re welcome to go back and renegotiate of course but since they told you the budget, I’d probably use language of asking if there is wiggle room due to your qualifications versus just flat asking for an extra $5k. If however they offer you less than $140k then $140 is probably the true ceiling and asking for more than that is probably a fool’s errand. Gl!
Good point - I did also express if the HR could help me to get more but I would most likely to take this offer if they come back with just 140k. Thanks for the suggestion there.
Ask for another week of PTO. At least that’s something.
I’ve honestly never worked anywhere that would negotiate benefits/pto it’s usually pretty set in stone. I’m sure some industries do I just haven’t seen it.
My partner has done it twice, in two totally different industries. It was part of his salary negotiation. A quick google search will tell you its pretty common.

Calm down there buddy all I said is I haven’t seen it, there’s no reason to be snarky when responding.
I wasn’t?
