Is this a game you can put 20-30 min intervals into or is a game you usually have to put hours in at a time?
You can play for 5 minutes if you want. It will let you save and resume in any situation. The only catch is that you may forget what you were doing when you pick back up.
I played on PC at first and have a really hard time playing on Steam Deck, but I think it's 100% doable - the controls actually feel quite good. My issue was transitioning from hundreds of KBM hours to totally relearning binds on a controller.
Default settings are an hour of real time is a full 24 hour cycle in game. In single player you need to sleep, so that will slice a chunk off. However, a good half of the game isn't fast-paced, so you might end up feeling dissatisfied when you pop on the game and spend your 20 minutes just organizing the loot you brought home.
Definitely doable. But might not be preferable.
I play 2 hour days (an in game day takes 2 IRL hours). I fast forward certain actions and sleep and usually I can work an in game day in 30 min. So if you play normally 1 hour days you can for sure get things done in 20-30 min.
I play every morning like 30-60 min
