Most dealers at one room i play are allowed to play on the clock, some graveyard dealers either clock out of their shift or play on the clock and stay until the AM essentially as props to keep the room from going dark
There's one dealer at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi who works as a prop when they're getting games going. He wears his dealer shirt and badge, so he's very obviously identifiable. He plays with his own money but makes his regular hourly wage while playing.
I have no issue with it. It gets games to fill up faster.
i believe if you ask the floor they must identify who is a prop
