Trying to work with what I have but I am considering purchasing a wheeled carry-on.

Bag: Travel backpack. Lowe Alpine TT Traveller 40.(40 litres I guess) Have it about 14 years. I used to be able to pack for 5/6 days but fully packed it kills me now (back pain / sciatica) - I'm also carrying an extra 15 kilos unladen :( which is not something I can solve overnight). Additionally I have an 18l daypack, a Camelback something, its old but I like it. Its carrying a Macbook Air (1.5kg) :( , Headphones, Umbrella, Waterbottle, Phone, Charger kit, couple of books, Sunglasses, Reading Glasses.

So, in all I'm carrying an estimated 16 kg in luggage.

Packing: (40l) Medium Packing Cube: 5 pair socks , 5 pairs u/wear. Down from 8 so 30% weight saving.

Flat Garment carrier: 3 shirts (2 day wear each) 1 pair jeans, 1 Chinos, 1 shorts. PJ bottoms / loungewear.

Medium packing Cube: 3 large cotton T-shirts

Medium Packing Cube: Cotton T and Merino T

Toiletries bag (heavy) Electric tooth Brush (must have) Travel liquid clothes soap 100ml Soap bar 90g Toothpaste 125ml Alum block (deodorant) 80 g Shaving soap 120 g Sunscreed 50 g Scissors Razor.

Footwear: Sliders

I'd like to get it down to 35l / 7.5 kg like the old days (I think). Expensive solutions: Wheeled carry-on. Swap the macbook for an IPad (1kg saving). Its not used for serious work but I don't have an iPad.
