I'm wondering about this because I just saw Ford v Ferrari and noticed that people call it a dad movie on letterbox. Saw similar comments about several of Joseph Kosinski's films (who was first attached to make Ford v Ferrari which is why I've thought of him) like Top Gun: Maverick and Only the Brave. Is it because they're about men being very competent in their jobs? Because they're (partly) about cool vehicles? Somewhat a focus on fatherly figures?

Just think it's funny to see that label for movies I really like while being a woman who doesn't have children and who saw Top Gun: Maverick 7 times in the cinema.
