What are the best sci-fi movies that nobody talks about?

Not an obscure choice, but I totally missed Oblivion (2013) when it first came out and finally watched it last summer. I went in expecting nothing and was surprised at how much I loved it. A lot of people compare it to another film I won’t name for spoilers, but having gone into both movies blind, I actually prefer Oblivion because it’s poignant for similar reasons but more hopeful and not as bleak. The music and cinematography are both top-notch; my only regret is not experiencing it on the big screen at the time.
It's incredibly slick, but there's a huge plothole in making the clones believe the (other) humans were some kind of creatures in the way they ran around, when they could instead have just put up a few signs saying "We are humans. Don't kill us. Let's get together for coffee and biscuits."
haha! Yeah, there are a few other potential plot holes I’ve wondered about myself. Overall I still thought the script was great, I enjoyed the various twists and really liked the motifs that appeared throughout like the Horatius poem, Christina’s World, etc.
