Hey all, so I’m looking to buy my 3rd (and 1st ever brand new) motorcycle. I found a bike online that I really think I’ll like. The price seems nice, I’ve got quite a good chunk of coin for down payment, and it has the features I want (i.e. ABS, fuel gauge [that’s prolly standard now], and apparently smartphone connectivity). However, the salesperson I’m emailing back and forth with is saying that from what I’ve said they really think I’ll be happier with a bigger, more expensive, more cost to insure engine bike.
I mean, sure, I wouldn’t mind going with a 650cc engine, but I’m quite happy with the 500cc with ABS I found for less than $6k that I wanted to come in and test ride today. Yet, the salesperson is stubbornly saying, “Come on in and we can show you around the bikes we have here to offer. I'm sure we'll find you the right fit.” I don’t know. This seems like a red flag. Is it? What would YOU do? What should I do?
Thank you!

Either way if this bike is the one you know you want no exceptions, walk in , test ride the bike you want, and tell him "this is the bike I want, sell it to me or I'm walking. " If he keeps pushing go to the sales manager and tell them the same thing. That usually works.
Alternatively, test ride both bikes, then tell him if he can match the price you will take it.
If you have any other questions dm me. I despise sales guys that play games with people.
