Took my son out camping, mainly to test the setup for coming summer. Would love to do a week riding together (he as passenger)
Thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience

Just as an FYI: a good (permanent, not travel) hammock is pretty large, large enough so that you can lay diagonally on it (and thus flatter and less curled up).
Or you need on of those fancy resort types hammock which have wooden bars on both end to hold the fabric flat, and not let it wrap around you like cone.
Yeah, I've done a lot of youtubing and reading. Found out pretty quickly that a decent hammock setup takes up a lot more space while traveling too... and then there's the costs.
Love freewheeling the Tenere and whenever I find a nice spot I love to pull out a chair or from now on do a quick hammock setup. The 5 minutes setup is worth it on a 30 minute stop
The reason I posted the above was just because I have a f*cked up back (due to an accident, not a hammock LoL. But my fam had multiple traditional ones from Venezuela back home).
And laying that way for a long amount of time (think: sleeping) will lead to back problems for sure.
Yeah, I can imagine. I haven't got the best back either
This is a tiny clip of how to get in and the angle to properly lay on it.
BUT this hammock's endpoints are still tied up too close to be healthy. The wooden posts should be like 10 meters further apart.
Might you be interested, the word in Spanish are either "hamaca" or "chinchorro".
What hammock? looks like a great trip, would love to visit someday
Just a cheap aliexpress one, it's in the second picture
Behold the untamed wilderness of the Netherlands.
Shhh, that’s our only forest.
Well, I can't complain where I live. As far as I know the last real forest in Europe is in Poland. As long as you keep out of the randstad, the Netherlands are pretty, naturewise.
I've got the same tent! And I'm also in NL! Where is this campsite?
This was Groningen stadscamping, very nice. Good restaurant too
Congratulations!
Bought myself a cheap hammock to, just to test if I would like it. I don't know about sleaping in it yet, but it's amazing for a little nap
