With just water 😩
Thank you
Did it work?
No, OP resorted to buying more paper and staining the rest of the counter to match.
It worked! Baking soda + vinegar and a lot of scrubbing did the work. Thank you again.
What about carpet a carpet stain?
FOLEX
Seriously, just spray, give a little scrub, let it sit, then dab it up. This stuff is straight magic.
If its a small stain or on light carpet, you can mix liquid dish soap with some water and let it soak overnight. Fels naptha or a bar soap works too. The trick with carpet- especially dark stains, is to lift. This is why you should not use vinegar in light carpets. Vinegar is known to set stains and dyes in textiles.
Toothpaste should work too for small spots.
I use olive oil for sticky or clumpy messes.
This lady cleans.
Never heard of it, but thank you! I will look into it
Damn, i only own knee grease
Bicarb Soda 👍🏼
I’ve never heard anyone refer to countertops as furniture.
For real. Lol. I was like, "All I see is a countertop." Thought I was about to see a couch in the kitchen.
That's the only reason I swiped. Wanted to see what barstool got stained.
You don’t watch TV on a beautiful granite couch?
Feels like either English isn't OPs first language or OP is a bot.
Now, don't ever do it again.
😂😂😂
Knowledge is power
Someone definitely uses their countertop for hanky Panky time in this house.
Try isopropyl alcohol! It will take sharpie off laminate with zero damage so it might work here too.
Agree. It will take this right off. Sprayway glass cleaner is also an excellent stain remover for counters.
Sprayway might be hands down the single greatest thing I ever sold working at an aftermarket car parts store
So paper DOES beat rock
The same with tomatoes, oranges or coffee in my kitchen. If I had known..
Goddamn strawberries and their ventilated containers.
I was looking for a chair or something.
This is art!
How though?
My psychologist ran out of tissues once and only had red napkins. Yeah it stained my eyes and cheeks red
Are you sure it wasn't from the crying ?
Nah it was pretty red. She even commented on it and it was still stained long after my appointment
I use a magic eraser to get rid of stains, like kool-aid, on my laminate counter. Maybe that will work on this?
Don't do this on your laminate if it's shiny, OP. Magic eraser is just micro sandpaper.
I didn't know not to do that. Mines not shiny but it's still good to know, thank you!
Barkeepers Friend
We had this issue at our workplace a long while ago and if I remember well, Methylated spirit was used to remove the stains
That's not furniture, that's a fixture.
Furniture can be moved, a fixture cannot.
I’ve used WD-40 to remove similar stains.
Kitchen furniture 🤣😂
There's no way that doesn't clean off. the existence of this post is more mildlyinfuriating than someone needing to clean their counter.
this is infuriating to you?
The sub is named "MILDLY infuriating"
wow, I didn't mean to bother you. Take it easy.
Actually posting it helped me. I'm buying bicarb soda as someone said, to try it out :)
Yes, I clean it every week. It seems to be a permanent stain.
I would also think of oxyclean or peroxide, but test a small out of the way place first to make sure it doesn't damage the counter top.
OP, ignore them.
It was a fucking piece of paper that got wet and stained your counter top, not moldy food all over your counter. They just woke up and chose violence today. Someone pissed in their cheerios.
What’s going on in your life?
Are you okay??
Who hurt you?
Try maybe using polishing compound
Lysol spray usually works!
My partner used a hot pink post-it note under a table let to keep it from wobbling and it stained the tile.
Reminds me of beetroot
Is your countertop sealed? If you have a stone countertop your really gonna wanna get it sealed well so that this doesn't continue to happen in the future
small amount of bleach on a paper towel.
Let soak for a minute.
Bar keepera friend and elbow grease
It has some personality now
Try acetone, rubbing alcohol, vinegar, bleach. One at a time. Don’t mix anything.
This happened to me with a mortar with dyed felt, low splash bleach got it off really well after letting it sit.
Baking soda, wet it and make a paste on the stain. Cover it with saran wrap and let sit.
Should have used stainless steel
I dont see any signs of any kind of attempt of cleaning it.
That’s vinyl…just heat it..remove it…replace it (with glue)
But some isopropyl alcohol on it, let it rest for five minutes then with a warm cloth rub into it.
That’s my bathroom counter.
Use TKO! It’s like goo gone but doesn’t destroy the top layer like paint and stuff.
That's a laminate counter. Baking soda and elbow grease should work.
Maybe some borax.
Or soak it in cleaning vinegar. That's my go-to for stains.
