*IMPORTANT* Prohibited post topics *READ BEFORE POSTING*

Well hello, my fellow redditors!

In the last weeks, we had a lot of posts that were not reposted but were extremely similar to other posts on the same topics.

Due to this issue, we have decided to stop allowing posts about the following topics mentioned in the list:

•Parking mistakes

•Tipping fees

•Shrinkflation

•Price complaints

•Inflation

•Packaging being too big

•People falling for AI art

Posts that infringe on these rules will be taken down immediately and the user may be temporarily banned.

Also, note that this list is subject to change and will most likely be expanded as time passes so make sure to always check it before posting.

Henlo frens!

Good to see all of you here UwU.

Grab on to your bodypillows, I have a smol announcement about the purpose of this subreddit.

This community is meant as a fun, lighthearted place where we can commiserate with each other about those annoying little irritations that hinder our day to day enjoyment in life.

That means that suitable posts here can be about my children.

And things like a wall socket or tile being placed out of allignment. A crack in a phone screen. Duckling shit on your new car. Incomprehensible software. Mismatched buttons. You know, the little things.

This subreddit isn't meant to incite rage mobs that go after people. For that reason we say:

No reddit meta posts

No posts about being banned from subreddit. No posts about up- or down-votes. No posts about shitty moderators or users or subreddits. No posts about reddit.

All jokes and tomfoolery aside, that sort of thing gets us in trouble with site admins. If we allow one type of post about reddit it then very easily moprhs into allowing posts that directly call out other subreddits or users, we just can't allow any of it.

That rule already existed for years and we have just made it more clearly visible in the sidebar on old and new reddit. We're gonna be a little strict on it for a bit I'm afraid. 🥺

Thank you all for being awesome and have a very Merry Christmas! Celebrate Christmas in the traditional European way, with a suasage roll!

My inlaws have chains around their freezer

...chains around freezer ...locks on pantry ...disapproval if you buy food for yourself

In the living room they arranged all the chairs so visitors cannot see the television, but in the evenings you must politely sit to "watch" the television. No talking. Only one toilet visit allowed. Edit for clarity: WHILE YOU WATCH TV. YOU CAN JUST GET UP ONCE FOR THE TOILET WHILE YOU WATCH TV OR THEY GET ANNOYED. But they DO let you use the toilet generally.

At the end of any visit they moan that their kids don't visit. I'm still trying to work out if this is genuine puzzlement or just a very long game of trolling us.

Edit to a few common points because I really need to sign off now:

  • they haven't always had these rules. They always used to have some esoteric ones but the ones I have mentioned came in well after I married my spouse
  • I don't visit any more. Not because of this: I kind of thought this was just a lighthearted funny story. Apparently, I was wrong.
  • I also don't live WITH them. I used to just visit and I don't live close by
  • they are not on septic tank
  • Nobody asked but I shall point out: the worst thing to sit through, but not be able to see, is Marvel movies. There are very long interludes with just "crash crash crash ouch zoooooom crash BANG" and that's just irritating. You can't even read through that.

Thanks!

"No One Wants To Work"

Just a quick, short, irritation.

Boomer Dad wants field adjacent to house bush hogged, but for months has been claiming "No one wants to work!"

I take the initiative to find him THREE separate people willing to do the work within the month.

When I push him on how he tried to find people to do the work; he admits he did not actually attempt to find anyone.
