Grab on to your bodypillows, I have a smol announcement about the purpose of this subreddit.

This community is meant as a fun, lighthearted place where we can commiserate with each other about those annoying little irritations that hinder our day to day enjoyment in life.

That means that suitable posts here can be about my children.

And things like a wall socket or tile being placed out of allignment. A crack in a phone screen. Duckling shit on your new car. Incomprehensible software. Mismatched buttons. You know, the little things.

This subreddit isn't meant to incite rage mobs that go after people. For that reason we say:

No posts about being banned from subreddit. No posts about up- or down-votes. No posts about shitty moderators or users or subreddits. No posts about reddit.

All jokes and tomfoolery aside, that sort of thing gets us in trouble with site admins. If we allow one type of post about reddit it then very easily moprhs into allowing posts that directly call out other subreddits or users, we just can't allow any of it.

That rule already existed for years and we have just made it more clearly visible in the sidebar on old and new reddit. We're gonna be a little strict on it for a bit I'm afraid. 🥺

we wanted to let every fellow member know that starting from now we (this subreddit) will be taking part in Reddit's new gold system pilot launch.
You can read more about it here, but I'll do a brief explanation here as well.

Basically, you can now directly award gold by purchasing (with real world money) it from the comments/post you wish to reward. If you live in the United States of America, you should also be able to earn some real word money thanks to the Contributor Program, which is strictly interconnected with the new gold system, because remember, ex nihilo nihil fit.

Was subpoenaed to appear in family court and had to miss work. The attorney insisted I had to show up when I called her telling her I had nothing relevant. Then during the testimony I gave she interrupted and insisted that I called 911 on my neighbors multiple times. The attorney then decided to play the evidence of one of my 911 calls and it was from someone with a thick unique accent in a voice that is completely different than mine. You would think someone would do their homework if they are interrupting people's lives with subpoena powers.

Got shrimp pasta so I have to put my hands in the sauce and rip all these suckers off. Do people eat the tails? They seem sharp

I go to a lot of concerts with my friend C. She is 53. I don’t like to spend a ton of money and usually get the $75 seats and she mocks me because she likes to sit in the front row. She also pays $75-100 for VIP parking.

So the Stones are touring. They are my favorite band. The guys are 80. This could be their last tour. I was right on top of it and got presale tickets right at 10 am when the sale started. They are about $350 with all the damn fees. I bought us two tickets.

Miss Champagne taste then announced she has to pay me in 3 payments. WTF?? Then she shows me her travel itinerary for the year. 6 UFO and conspiracy based trips out of state.

Meanwhile I’m still waiting for payment #1 for my ticket. When I bought them she announced that she might not go if her UFO cult announces another trip. That’s when I said “pay me back now. I am not going to worry until next July to find out if you’re going to bail and I need to sell your ticket in a hurry.” FFS 🤯

After somebody asks for payment of a $350 ticket, don’t most people pay something immediately? If she is living that close to the bone, why does she have a Mercedes with an $800/payment? This shit drives me crazy. Can you imagine letting your friend float you $350 and just ignoring them?
