50 % because there are two correct answers and two incorrect.
But there's only one 50%. You see the problem. This is a paradox similar to Russel's paradox. Not all questions have an answer. People on social media love this kind of question because it creates debates and people share it around, but to a mathematician it's really not interesting at all.
…but why are you picking from multiple choice? You’re using the data as part of the answer. Nobody said the answer has to come from the choices. You’re not on the show. Fill in your answer. The answer is 50%
I'm not sure I see your point. Why would it matter if I was on the show or not. A question is a question and the problem with this question is that it's self referencing because it refers to it's own correct answer. That means that when you pick an answer the answer can change, and the answers here are chosen specifically for that to happen. You started with the assumption that 25% is the correct answer, which led you to the conclusion that 50% is correct. But then 25% is correct again.
Well then. It’s easier. If you have a 1/4 chance to get one right, it’s 25%. Ignore the answers given, they are place holders.
I was thinking like of the answers like variables. If both A and D are the same. Then they both are possible answers independent of each other. It’s a 1/4 chance I pick A and there’s a 1/4 chance I pick D. So 25% is the correct answer. And my chances of picking the correct answer is 50%
