Have you ever heard that it's easier to make boardgamers your friends, than to make your friends boardgamers? It's true!

We are a small well established group of 'mature' Malden residents who meet once a month to play board games. We are all 40+ and very friendly. We welcome new players and are willing to teach any game you're unfamiliar with.

We play mostly gateway and next-step type games with low to medium-high complexity ratings - both competitive and cooperative. Our meetups are once a month on Saturday evening for approximately 3-4 hours. We take turns hosting. We also sometimes meet outside of our regular game night for a spur of the moment session.

You won't find any egos here. It isn't about winning or losing with us. It's about having fun and socializing. I know it can be really intimidating putting yourself out there and going to a meetup with total strangers. But all of us met that way and have become good friends.

What constitutes a good fit for our group?

(1) Patient - willing to learn/teach (2) Enjoys the company of others - "it's all about the journey, not the destination" (3) Is ok with losing (hey, somebody's gotta do it) and (4) Likes a lighthearted, non competitive atmosphere

What behavior is not a good fit?

(1) Quarterbacking/offering unsolicited advice to others (2) Impatient - "I'm tired of listening to the rules, let's just play!" (3) Sore losers/sore winners; and (4) Cheaters (naturally)

We have a combined library of over 100 games. Some of our favorites are 7 Wonders, Wingspan, Quacks of Quedlinburg, Gloomhaven, and Horrified.

If you are interested or have questions message me and I'll get back with you ASAP. Serious inquiries only please.
