These decisions only apply so long as the country isn't engaged in a violent civil war, so this will only really matter for another 6-8 months.
We can all be reassured by that
Which is the hope.
War Profiteering: War usually leads to a shortage in the supply of commodities, which results in higher prices and higher revenues. When it comes to supply and demand in terms of economics, profit is the most important end. During war time, "war-stuff" is in high demand, and demands must be met.
Every decision in this country is based on profit. We are absolutely in late stage capitalism. The only variable is people’s reaction to tyranny.
You can go listen to George Carlin, or go find the information Rage Against the Machine has been waiting to be understood for 30 years. This isn’t new, it’s old. Steadily increasing the temperature in the pot, so the lobsters don’t realize they’re being cooked. But pride goeth before the fall. And they are oozing hubris right now.
So... how much ammunition should I be buying?
How much can you afford?
that's alright, when lead is put back in the gasoline, paint, and dye, we won't even realize there's a fire.
You can now challenge rules made in 1947 based on the procedures they took back then to pass them as long as you didn't break them until now. Just make an llc and you're good to challenge things that happened immediately after World War 2. Because that's a normal sane conclusion, someone who understands laws could come to.
It's the sane conclusion of 6 unelected and unaccountable justices who would very much like to dismantle the bureaucracy of the administrative state for their benefactors.
The cognitive dissonance between castrating the bureaucracy in one breath and declaring the President above the law with the next is truly astounding.
It's crazy how women don't have rights to their own bodies because the constitution doesn't spell it out explicitly in exact words yet the fact the words presidential immunity don't appear anywhere in Article II - you know, the section that enumerated the powers of the president.
One would think immunity from criminal prosecution would constitute a major question that requires congress to clearly state it. If one thought the supreme court believed in consistency over means to and end "reasoning"
Your alternative is that people without standing should be able to bring challenges because otherwise the statute of limitations would run.
This is neither an unusual decision nor one that’s actually related to Loper.
Isn't the alternative that the statute of limitations actually works the way it was written and you get 6 years to challenge a rule?
I can't wait for someone to go after weights and measures so gas stations can start saying "largest gallons in town" next to the cigarette signs.
Lit the fire on Friday and then through gas on it today
