Defining speaking as B1 level or above, or being able of holding a conversation in it (it doesn't need to be crazy fluent, but if you would be able of going to the supermarket asking where the things are etc I would count that as speaking).
I have noticed a lot of flairs with a billion languages and it made me curious whether this subreddit is full of people that truly speak a lot of languages, or maybe people that do speak a lot of languages are the ones that comment the most.
The flairs I find interesting on here are the ones that have a flag or abbreviation of the languages spoken, and then several languages with "A0" next to them.
I get if you're starting on a new language, putting "A0" to signify that that's the one you're working on now makes sense. But multiple? What does that mean? That they're languages that were studied at some point?
If I put every language that I've studied for some amount of time in my flair, it would also have tons of languages.
