D'lo shot us a win in game 2, but we lost that game do to corpses on the team airballing layups( where we need minor tweaks). We can win a series with d'lo. 3 point shooting is so valuable in the modern game.

Jarred vanderbilt had found a place in the offense before his injury. If he can be a threat, game changer for us. Fuck darvan ham.

Most of main role players are yet to be in their prime. Lebron shit the bed at 27 years old against the mavericks(and favorite to win the series), and almost all of our role players are near that age(or less). They absolutely can level up.

Another year of continuity. We can improve.

Denver was a bad matchup for us. We were better than a 'first round exit'.

Mavericks had a bad matchup vs the celtics, celtics had a cakewalk path to the finals. The path/possibility exists for us to make it to the finals, ESPECIALLY with denver getting worse.

Making it there, Id still favor the celtics (unfair roster) over us but it would be closer, and with variance we could win.

Rui has no motor if he’s not on offense! He doesn’t have a nose for the ball, and no drive for rebounding. Rebounding is all about wanting the ball more Rui just doesn’t have that in his game. He doesn’t even box out which is basic effort honestly. We need a big wing who able to consistently rebound and another big to help AD on defense who is quite literally trying to do everything. I can’t believe we haven’t address this yet. I’m hoping C wood actually gets some time and balls out bc he had flashes but never got to play bc of our bozo coach. I don’t even mind Jaxson playing even more bc he had great energy and dude plays with an extremely high motor. Honestly the only positive side is gabe, vando, wood, Christie, all should get more minutes and hopefully can provide much needed defense.

If Rui doesn’t have a drive for rebounding he’s not going to just learn it, sure he can box out better but timing and hunting the ball is a skill, not one of his. He’s an offense wing first. But I do think JJ can build a new culture. Ham was a motivational speaker glad he’s gone.

There’s no shame in defeat at the hands of a truly superior opponent. I do feel like the right small tweaks could give them the chance to win it all but I’m optimistic to say the least. I’m pretty sure AR said in that last interview that the decision not to focus on rebounding was a tactical decision made collectively last season.

That was offensive rebounding. And the reason the decision was made was because we don't hustle back on D and gave up a ridiculous amount of transition buckets. That says we either are slow, la y or have bad bball iq. The problem with defensive rebounding is not necessarily the lack of another big, but because we have no one who can bust through screens, or take away drives, or knows how to guard p and roll. AD has to cover as opposing players just stroll into the paint, and our guards can't switch onto rollers and it's an easy dunk or offensive rebound for them. We need better defense on the perimeter. The team as it stands can't beat the better teams in the league.

It’s not continuity if we changed the coach. Don’t get me wrong, pockets had to go but JJ has to build a new playbook from scratch. Wait for the players to learn the plays, implement new defensive tactics and schemes. That takes time and we really don’t have that luxury right now.

I believe there is always room, especially with all the young talent we have for one guy to just completely breakthrough and become a star overnight. Reaves is already proven to be solid and can be better and Hachimura proved last year when he’s on he’s one of the most efficient shooters in the sport. As long as I see potential, there is promise in my eyes.

I like our roster except our backcourt. Reaves and Dlo are not starting caliber guards but that's what we have. We still need to get one tjat can actually play defense if we plan on playing one in the starting lineup. Dumbass fo after three years still can't figure out that AD is not a center. If we run him at Center again nothing will get done this season. Other than those two things overall i like the team.
