is anyone else here annoyed at the saw movies obsession with cops?

I think the cop portions of the saw movies are kinda boring. i feel like the series as a whole would have benefitted from dropping cop plots and focussing on the people surviving/or failing to survive jigsaws traps.

sometimes i feel like those segments literally only exist to draw in the crime/thriller crowd to boost audiences rather than to enhance the setting or plot.
