I don’t really care about shoes but you’ll have to pry my expensive candles out of my cold dead hands. I also love scarves and vintage clothing but barely buy any designer clothing brand new. What’s always on your radar besides handbags?
we could be besties
Can I join this bestie group and we can all wear our Irish sweaters together while we go thrifting?
I would like to join the Aran sweaters and vintage hunters club please. As someone whose only souvenir from my Irish honeymoon was a hand knit Aran, I feel like I am qualified :)
Ofph I fell down a Corning pattern rabbit hole.
Omg so did I!!! Good to know that I'm not the only one 😂
Omg!! I’d love to come to your house and see all this awesome stuff!
My house is a real hodge podge. If I had to pin it down I'd say "maximalist cottagecore," or, Grey Gardens meets Ma's house from Emmett Otter's Jugband Christmas 🤣🤣🤣
I just saw the Peretti bone cuff for the first time and wow wow wow. I’ve gotta go try that on. Thanks for the tip!
It’s soooo gorgeous. Thankfully I found it a bit uncomfortable so money saved.
I’m still entry in my career but this is all I want in life when I can afford to have it all (and a small house to put it all sighs the woes of wanting a house in this economy) 🫶🏽till then my Pinterest boards will occupy me !
Are you me ???
Quite possibly.
Skincare
Same. And also perfume. And jewelry.
Ah, okay, same!
This. And lululemon
Came here to say this!
+1
Gosh I forgot about skincare! Yup. That is one more for my list.
Skincare, plants, and weed
the holy trinity
Saaaame. I only like about 1% of the samples I buy… and yet, I keep buying them.
This is me too 😭 What do you do with the samples you don’t like?
im obsessed with travel/mini size perfumes not in the tube but in their actual pretty bottle
Perfume, hair care, skin care, makeup, shoes and clothes. And food.
Nail polish.
Coffee mugs.
Seeds for gardening. I have enough for a midsized farm and live on less than a 1/4 acre lmao
Omg yes, and flower tubers when in season.
Anything and everything. 😂 Hardcore ADHD girlie lol.
Same 😢
We’re all in this together 💕
The economy would collapse without us!!
Exactly!! Do you know how many niche things we know about (because of the rabbit holes) so we always have the perfect thought out gift?! I think people don’t give us the credit we deserve!
Do you think it’s typical for people with ADHD to collect/keep many things? I ask because my 13 year old son has ADHD and keeps everything. His room is a disaster and though he has a garbage can and laundry basket, he never uses them. I know, he’s also just a 13 year old boy and they tend to be messy. I’m highly organized and a bit of a neat freak and I really struggle with the chaos. I try not to “sweat the small stuff” but would love to help him with techniques to be more neat. Would love any feedback.
Growing up, I always had the I’ll use this at some point mindset. I never used my laundry basket or dresser and would have piles of certain things in my own little organized world. To others, it was chaos lol but I would remember where my red chapstick was - under the left side of my bed under the pink sock that was buried under my oversized robe type of idea. I can’t diagnose anyone else, but I showed lots of symptoms like poor time management or being disorganized. My addictive personality was what finally led to me getting diagnosed in my 23rd year. 25 now and I’ve learned I’m wired a little different than others but it’s okay. My million dollar ideas will get me somewhere one day once I fixate on it at the right time lol
Rowing and kayaking gear (boats, equipment and clothing)
Staub/Le Creuset cookware
Staub girly here. Can't get enough
I only have a few Staub pieces (two Dutch ovens and a skillet) but the ones I have are total workhorses.
Do you have a preferred color? My pieces are graphite. I think I've come to prefer Staub over LC (maybe because it's slightly lower maintenance because of the dark interior?). However, I still lust over LC's Oyster as a color. Maybe I'll eventually buy Oyster plates to scratch that itch.
I would love to create a color coordinated look that could also go with my kitchen but we haven't settled in our forever home yet and I can't do much with my kitchen.
I have one teal (la mer) oval dutch oven that feeds 8-12 and a round sage dutch oven that feeds 4-6. Also an all black skillet.
I really fancy the grenadine, black or truffle. My choice would be one of these if I were to get everything in same color. Who knows maybe I can trade them all for a set some day.
I thought long and hard between LC and Staub and even though LC has more whimsical color options, I went with Staub due to being low maintenance too. And a chef from Ritz Paris agrees on that too.
I think oyster plates would be great. It could be matched with so many colors for different occasions.
In the same boat here -- still waiting for this crazy-ass market to settle down a bit. One reason I went with the the graphite is because when I was looking at places last year, most of the kitchens had white or light color schemes. So I thought light grey was a relatively safe bet.
Michelin star meals
Good one! Finally Michelin back in my city again. Although bib gourmand restaurants (or without) can have at least as nice of an experience.
Also I like thriftstores, don’t spend too much on it (except when I was in a countryside thrift and spent way too much on west German ceramics) and art supplies.
Agreed about Bib Gourmand! Much more affordable and phenomenal quality! I have too many booked for my trip to Europe next week 🙈
Wine, food & traveling.
18k yellow gold jewelry and red wine. You know, the other essentials. 😽
Same! It’s the 18k for me
I can't wait to start building my gold jewellery collection. I got some that are gifted but honestly can't wait to invest in some hoops and whatnot.
Check out Etsy! Lots of solid 18k available, great prices!
Shoes of course
Books and jewelry
Makeup
r/luxurycandles is the place for you then!
Already there!
“Chanel has a closet full of Diptyque candles that she lights once, and then throws them away because they’re used.”
Watches and lately jewelry (man here). I got a nice gold chain for Xmas, a chunky silver one for my birthday!! Def skincare and thrifting and nice fabric to sew fancy clothes for my toddler…
Oh gosh, watches. I love them, too, and mine are all just really affordable women's fashion watches. I'm trying to downsize because I only end up wearing a couple.
You would love my collection LOL most of them are sized for women. There are some great deals to have vintage even if they’re becoming more rare.
You know I’ve gone full circles on “fashion” watches. Guys scream jnto the void about Quartz movements the way some people insist that coated canvas is trash bc it’s not leather! I have a Timex and Rolex and I LOVE my blue 20$ Casio (my toddler has a 5$ mini one from the thrift store!).
I don’t buy watches too often because it gets pricy and I already don’t wear all of them equally but I have 5ish that I wear for most occasions !
I still love Swatch, especially in the summer because they are so light weight. Their batteries are also easy to change. I've learned to change the batteries on my watches, but some have such small notches that I can't remove the backs. I just took several in to be changed.
Thanks for sharing your collection! I think watches are so amazing as tiny little machines. I could never wear an Apple watch, lol.
I’m trying to think of a timeless watch or jewelry as a gift for my husband for graduating law school. Any suggestions?
Firstly, congratulations to your husband for almost completing law school. It also takes a toll on the whole family, so congrats are in order to their partners as well {you}!
My husband is a corporate finance attorney and for his birthday a year ago I gifted him the Cartier Santos Dumont watch. He loves it and it looks beautiful with his suits and business casual outfits. He has the size medium but I don't see it online at the moment. Also, the Tank Francaise and Tank Must are some of our other favorites.
They are pricey but make such beautiful and memorable gifts.
Upscale dining Diptyque Shoes
Got any of the city candles this week?
I went to the store and sniffed them all, then went home and burned the ones I already have 🫠
Now that’s impressive! I walked home with Paris and NYC.
Seoul was my favorite but I couldn’t imagine burning it for six months so I had some self control.
Blazers !
Any favorite brands? I like the look of Smythe.
Travel. I’ve always loved to travel, but now that I can afford it, I love to stay at really nice boutique hotels.
Bespoke jewelry. I fancy myself a indie jewelry designer.
Japanese Fude brushes. Chikuhodos and Koyudos. The ones with handrawn and inlaid designs on the handles and exotic squirrel hair.
Eyeshadow palettes. I went a little insane during covid and never considered that they would expire at some point. My grandchildren and their offspring will inherit it all because i only have two eyelids.

Also random collectibles and memorabilia like signed first edition books.
Thank you for supporting artists! ❤️
Horses and horse stuff lol
Jewelry. Used to love shoes and still do but I can't wear high heels anymore. Cosmetics too.
For me currently it’s designer vintage clothing. It’s very specific though for the years and designers. Mainly Nicolas Ghesquiere’s Balenciaga and Tom Ford’s Gucci and YSL from the early 2000s.
I oddly won’t spend much money on new clothes, like it has to be on sale and to me $20 for a t-shirt is too expensive, but then I bought a pair of vintage green Balenciaga cargo pants from 2002 for $1700 lol. That is the most I have ever spent on pants and a single clothing item.
Name checks out haha
I love TheRealReal for designer vintage clothing.
Washi tape, pens
Skin care treatments like facials and microneedling

Vintage or post ‘86?
So far just post 86, having some vintage eventually would be cool but right now I'm buying to use rather than just collect
That's how it started with me. Proceed with caution ;). But the dishes are great and the colors are so much fun.
Premium Art supplies ain’t cheap :/
Perfume. Home decor. Tiny things. Jewelry. Wrestling.
Okay the last one threw me after the list that came before it!
Sunnies
Any favorite brands?
Found this stupid expensive, but really comfortable, headband brand called Lele Sadoughi. Obsessed it doesn’t squeeze behind my ears and suck my will to live. Plus, sparkles! ✨
I got my daughter one of these and accidentally got her hooked!
Right? Slippery slope. Sometimes you can find them at nordstrom rack or Saks off fifth for a more reasonable price.
Oh, that’s good to know!
I tend to cycle through things I love, and collect until I feel like that category is sort of complete. So I have small collections of many different items. My background is in clothing and textiles (I have a masters from FIT) so most of my hobbies are related like that.
- Wool stuff (subcategories Aran sweaters, cashmere, wool dresses, wool leggings, woolies for my little guys)
- Linen stuff (mostly dresses and baby carriers)
- Baby carriers (wraps, Happy Baby, Sakura Bloom- I’m a babywearing club president by accident so the collection grew a LOT during the pandemic)
- Mid tier nice baby clothing like Little Sleepies and Kate Quinn. So fun to pass down to my friends who are now having kids as my toddlers outgrow them!
- I’m fairly minimalist when it comes to jewelry, so I like to spend time really thinking about how to round out my earring collection in a way that stays true to me
- Well made clothing in general like Son de Fleur, Hill House, Lilly Pulitzer. My style is like, ‘she lives in an English garden cottage but also has a yacht club membership’
- Wooden toys and quality children’s toys (like nice dolls that my kids never play with haha)
Makeup. I have some inexpensive colourpop, nyx, bh cosmetics, elf, along with more expensive lancome, tarte, smashbox, urban decay, ABH. I go through periods of using makeup and creating looks. Mostly, I want to be able to teach my daughter about makeup. My mom never did makeup stuff with me.
Kitchen cookware. Staub/Mauviel/Shun/Wolf
Love my Shun bread knife. Used it last night.
Jewelryyyyy!!!! I have serious shopping issues with gold and David Yurman 🤦🏽♀️

Home decor oh my god I can’t stop buying so much for the house and I have nowhere left to put it all. Otherwise perfumes, barware, and I don’t think of myself as a shoe person because I don’t spend a ton of money on shoes, but the past few years I can’t stop buying them

Unfortunately for my finances, everything. Love designer sunglasses, love love love niche perfumes which are usually expensive, LOVE jimmy choo shoes, and im a whore for watches, expensive one especially.

I'm obsessed with Air Force 1s (can't wear heels any more), Lululemon, vintage jewelry, Star Wars, Starbucks mugs (travel souvenirs) and cold cups, all things horsey, Disney ears, Lele Sadoughi headbands, Stanley mugs and squishmallows-- though I'm getting over that one, vintage fabrics, blankets
