A bit of a beginner question most likely, how many times can you swap lenses from an acetate frame before the frame starts to get damaged? I would guess that multiple reglazings would eventually take a toll on the frame, the question is when that would happen? This is assuming the lens swapping is done by an optician, who knows what they are doing. Any advice or feedback would be much appreciated.
With care, it could be done dozens of times. Damage could occur from poor handling, a too large of lens, not using proper amount of heat, an unseen but preexisting crack in the material or just old age or dryness . It can happen unexpectedly to the best optician.
