Huge 60-hour Skyrim mod that’s like a new expansion sets launch date
System NewsWell… time to fire up Skyrim and redownload a ton of mods I guess
If you’re gonna try Enderal, it has its own separate steam page (and separate mods) https://store.steampowered.com/app/976620/Enderal_Forgotten_Stories_Special_Edition/
Thanks for the heads up!!
To play Enderal, you just need to have purchased Skyrim. You don't need to have it installed.
Enderal is a brillant game. Much deeper (and darker) than Skyrim.
Is it does it play like Skyrim? Or is it just a themed game based off the engine with shared assets?
I’m gonna give it a go no matter what I’m just curious about what to expect
Gameplay is more or less like Skyrim, skills and skills trees are different, so is XP and progress. Magic is way better, a Mage build sticks better to the story. Stealth is harder.
Enderal is a bit more difficult than Skyrim IMO. For example, use what you have at the beginning, including destruction spells even if you do not want to follow the magic route.
A few assets come from Skyrim, but the world and a lot of items are different. Map is smaller but very rich. Regions are leveled, loot is hand placed a la Morrowind.
Big differences are the lore, the story, and the characters 'style' (no hero here, very 'human' and realistic). Side quests are top notch.
It's a very different experience, in a good way,
I'll never not give a shout out to Enderal greatness when I see it mentioned. It's like a Gothic or Risen etc., but done in the Creation Engine.
thanks for the rec! just added to library - checking out when i get settled in my new place!
You are set for a wonderful experience!
Better then the base game by a lot
Slaps what?
For anyone who wants to save a click, the date is March 2025.
That reminds me, I really should finally get around to playing Dawngaurd and Dragonborn. I’ve put god knows how many hours into playing Skyrim and yet I haven’t played those two expansions.
Edit: originally used redundant phrasing
Dawnguard is my favorite. Fun little adventure across skyrim without being too overwhelming like Dragonborn which introduced an entire new region to explore. And arguably the best follower in the game without mods comes from Dawnguard.
And then you can download a mod to lock said follower down
Dawngaurd is, imo the best questline in the game. Definitely recommend giving it a playthrough
I’m currently playing through Dawnguard on Eldergleam and it’s awesome
Just when I thought I was done they REEL ME BACK IN.
Ah Skyrim, greatest game ever made, and that's just the vanilla console version lol.
I thought it was called "Avowed" and was releasing later this year /s
Nah, let them cook. Skyrim is my favorite game since I picked it up in 2011 and I am still hype for another RPG in the same manner. New games are a win for everybody
If anyone hasn’t yet, check out Enderal. Total conversion mod that’s basically a brand-new, fully voice-acted game using the Skyrim engine. It absolutely slaps.
