Disclaimer: I'm still new to photography and learning more about it. Becoming more familiar with the camera and different focal lengths.

I got the X-S20 along with the XF 18-55mm as a pack because the pack with the XC 15-45mm was sold out in store. Honestly, it's been great using it due to its versatility in different shooting styles. I haven't figured out which one is the right for me though.

I'm currently suffering from the inevitable G.A.S. and I've been wondering which prime lens should I get for my X-S20. I was looking for something more compact as an excuse not to bring the zoom lens and have a more compact setup for daily shooting. I saw the Fujinon 27mm F2.8, which I love for its size and IQ but I am really bothered by the noise and fragility. I am still figuring out if I will keep it or return it.

I've been looking at these lenses for quite a while but I haven't got the chance to try them:

  • XF 23mm F2 R WR
  • XF 35mm F2 R WR

Also these:

  • XF 23mm F1.4 R LM WR
  • XF 33mm F1.4 R LM WR

I find myself shooting most of the time around these two focal lengths (23 and 35) on the XF 18-55. I have set up my camera to no noise except for the shutter and flash so using the zoom lens is nice because it doesn't make any noise while focusing compared to the pancake lens.

I'm still researching about these lenses and watching videos about them as I write this post and the pancake is still within the return window so which lens would you guys recommend me going for? It's not really urgent but I do want to own a prime that I will be keeping with me for travel and daily shoots.

I already bought lens filter for my zoom (58mm) so maybe I should go more for the F1.4 lenses as they are also of the same filter size?

Thank you guys in advance for any advice and feedback! I will reply to you ASAP if you require further information.
