Then what do they do To fix the spam? Buff concrete?
Please no anything but better concrete
What is this logic? They Nerf the damage, so you build more to compensate...
That’s Gamer logic, my friend
EDIT: Or American logic, either or
Tungsten Rod storm cannons when?
tech tree just doesn't stop until we're fighting with year 3000 tech
"When Litesaber?"
oh, that one we already have
Yooooo Les gooooo
If there’s a will there’s a way
yop that means it takes more time, work and effort to make more so it is still a nerf
Honestly they still slap. Like it doesn't even feel nerfed lol.
That is because they never were about the damage they dealt. It was always about raining an overwhelming and soulcrushing amount of shells, and what does it help that the shells aren't that strong, there's still a chance that one will hit your teammate mid sente
at this point its impresive how many SC the collies have
Have SC numbers always been this high? I never really payed attention but I don't remember there being this many
It’s actually hard to know…. The counter on foxhole stats is new so we don’t really have a bunch of wars numbers to compare.
But it’s safe to say there is a lot more of them in this war than previous ones.
I would say we definetly have more PER base, but overall yeah it's hard to say. We've had wars with more pop so they could of had more etc.
Either way devs are definetly facepalming right now.
Yes
Vicious cycle.
Grind increases.
Grinding increases.
Answer?
Play a different game.
SC should be a fearsome extremely rare superweapon. They don't need a damage nerf, they need availability nerf. Make them one for base max, or X per region/hex, and make them terrifying.
Limiting them per base would make people spam bases. Making them limited to X per hex would lead to infighting over who gets to make them or even griefing by making useless ones.
I agree that yes, they should be rarer, but the problem is there's few ways to limit them that won't cause drama, fuckery or both.
Nukes are similarily limited and I don't see much infighting for them. If people can't agree on superweapons, they won't get them, it's that simple. And at that point, with so few available, actually guarding them to avoid alts, griefers and trolls would be easier.
Agree on the bases limit, maybe only relic bases/town halls.
Nukes are similarily limited and I don't see much infighting for them
I've seen a lot of drama about who gets to choose the nuke target
Oh dear god yes. There's less drama over who "runs" nuke sites, but that's partly because all the co-operation and discussion stuff that goes along with actually using them (without pissing off your entire faction) is more than a lot of people want to deal with. Plus it takes a fair bit of time and resources, and therefore work, to get them ready.
The reason you don't see fighting about nuke bases is because there is so much drama around them.
Most regiments don't touch nukes because they have no interest in being bitched at for the next 15 wars over their use or "misuse" of the nuke.
Oh.
Entire clans have been ostracized by their team for making bad decisions with nukes and clan civil wars have broken out over nukes but yeah, no infighting at all over nukes. 😒
Meh, it's all just part of the drama of the game honestly.
I'd feel the same way if SCs were as limited as rocket sites.
Honestly id prefer that
I remember a few wars ago there was a lot of drama over HBL destroying a SoM nuke :P
Make the ammo more expensive to manufacture, maybe should work. Or that they consume more b/g supps.
Increasing their supply costs would certainly limit them in a way that makes it hard to cheese or get into drama over.
Hell yeah, sure Logi is gonna love that
This sounds like more logi pain.
well Superweapons should be logi pain
Infighting is a people problem.
As in, people will learn to share, and cooperate like a unified team (cause we are, btw).
Or, they won't, and get reported for tking.
I don't see this as a storm cannon problem
Yep. Limite them part hex, that solves the issue
Yea making them more expensive will only increase the pain and potential for griefing to be even more devastating.
Instead of making them rarer, give us an alternative to kill concrete.
What are the options until 250/satchels come around? Cutlers?
So just give us a mid-game satchel charge (maybe like a faction neutral, better hydra's whisper) that way we can kill SCs without SCs etc.
They used to cost upgrade parts to make the cannon operational, back in that system 150 upgrade parts was equal to making a town hall T3 or giving several bases permanent AI.
The old upgrade part system was actually much better at balancing the storm cannons.
Additionally, when the storm cannon died, those upgrade parts were just lost. Storm cannons had an availability cost that made them balanced.
Or hell, make them absolutely terrifying but only able to have like 2 per hex
I honestly want to see storm cannons become less like artillery and more like the nukes. Keep them as devastating super weapons but make then require a spotter with a radio backpack to use. Make it so that the defenders can actually do something to stop the bombardment besides just hammering until the base dies or the storm cannons out of juice.
Next update: sc now have a limit of 1 per hex!
I would rather limit them to 1 or 2 per base, because if it was only one per hex there would be a lot of infighting on who gets the sc
Not gonna lie. 60 guns is a ludicrous number to have. Ive never been so proud of this community lol.
Imagine complaining, when you would've had the same except all your old faction vets grief your SC's Just imagine.
for its hi hi hee in the field artillery.
So Devs nerfed the damaged and Players be like "Hey now I build more" Yea WHO WOULD HAVE SEEN THAT COMMING
