Everytime Hamilton is struggling in the midfield causing chaos.
Why does he not start and finish in first, is he stupid???
But gap = send it cause racing driver rules
This quote was when him and Fernando were competing for P2 wasn’t it? Not exactly midfield is it.
No, this was Alpine days
Yes, but in Spa 2022 they were actually fighting over P2
Oh, you're right. Seemed unbelievable but Nando started P3 due to others having penalties.
Exactly, plus the image of Alpine starting second row feels wrong after the beginning of this season
Watch the highlights again lad, they were fighting for P2.
No this was Spa 2022 I think.
Yes. Fighting for P2.
Whoops you’re totally right, my bad. Was not associating alpine or Mercedes with fights for p2 and clearly forgot how that race went down.
He said no lies then.
He wasn’t wrong
and Fernando can't start first nor win at all
Except all the times he was lol. Brazil 2021 comes to mind.
Ah yes, the rocket engine race, where Hamilton had a what, 50kph speed difference with about any other car and could just DRS past all of them, in the 1.5 race.
He was at the back, not because he didn't have a dominant car, he was there despite it, due to engine penalties and an illegal wing. He did not have to fight to overtake all but 1 race driver.
Let them cope man they need it
Brazil was the most dramatic example but Lewis has fought from the midfield to near the front and podiums many times in the ground effect era. The fact of the matter is if you're racing midfield, shit is going to happen. Just look at Checo and all the incidents he had last season starting in the mid pack.
Its funny seeing people call me a Lewis fanboy for just pointing out the obvious - nobody is perfect and mistakes will be more frequent and more costlytehne you're in the midfield. If anyone is biased it's the folks in here jumping on every comment and error Hamilton makes while other drivers get a free pass. Watching people make excuses for Kmag in the sprint is comical.
Compare to every time he came up to Albon in the years before that.
So twice?
Downvoted for any positive Hamilton comment I presume. The fact is people in wars get hit, he also avoids contact more often than not, but when he does, oh my god "is he washed!"
My opinion is he can’t get that final bit of excellence out because, why? The RedBull is still a second up the road, conserve energy for a final push.
Lol that's not surprising at all in this sub. Nobody can tell me why my statement is wrong though. 🤷🏻♂️
Well, because it isn’t?
Okay why.
🤷🏻♂️
Hamilton lives in Fernando’s head, rent free
A rookie who came and beat him, a 2-time world champion, and then won the next year. And then he moved on to win 6 more times, breaking all records. Yup, no doubt Alonso never recovered from that.
I can imagine. Being oppressed by the British rule for so long.
You spell sidepod weird.
Average Hamilton guzzler
Average Alonso glazer
I love Fernando, but Hamilton has more accolades and numbers talk. I know... I know about all the bad luck and bad timed decisions, so being only human as Fernando himself, I can totally imagine him being upset about these numbers and being a little jealous. Fernando is a better driver in my books, though.
Isn’t max the same? A literal wrecking ball when he isn’t in a rocket ship?
Yes. Everyone thinks he is a perfect driver... which it seems that way when your car is a second faster than everyone else and you don't have to race anyone.
You can't say that around here. They can't handle it.
But I remember the past
Uv seen him start from back but still won right?
Yes like with hamilton and multiple other champions. When max did not have a fast cat though often he would dive bomb to try and get places. It would only work cos he bullied other drivers to choose dnf or lose a place
It's incredible how short people's memories are. Pre 2021 Max was well known for just driving for gaps that went there and bullying people off the racing line.
OMG Alonso is still salty for the 2007 season
Yup... I still love Alonso ❤️
Alonso has very good punchlines. If only he had been as good as a driver, he might have won more than 2 WCC and he wouldn't be so salty.
🤓 Ehem... akshually It was the terrible results of choosing the wrong team at the wrong time...
Please don't hate me. I'm just trying to cope and hope for another Alonso win.
It was also partly due to a narcissistic personality that led to degraded relationships between teammates and teams, multiple times, and two extremely controversial situations closely involving him where he was never punished, yet somehow claims persecution based on xenophobia, all of which meant that despite being a fantastic driver, he has had less opportunities than he should have had.
'See gap, send it'
CraSh
Nooo, not other drivers, only me!!!11!!1
Is Bottas getting votes because of his hair?
Alonso hates the fact that he’ll never have as many WCC as Hamilton and I love it 😍😂😂😂 Living in his head totally rent free.
This was from 2 years ago, with Hamilton having to fight for p9-p10 every race this season lmao
I know, but he always talks shit about Hamilton. Pretty much ever since their mclaren days.
It was always the car, not Hamilton
Clearly Alonso has showed the same.
Except when he wins
Remind me the last time Alonso won a race
Apart from 2016, right?
why didn't Alonso beat Hamilton then? Ur mad
Dang y’all are mad but I’m a Lando fan 🤣
no wonder u have no idea about what it takes to win.. and win fairly at that
How original, Ocon. Thanks 🙄
Ahhh tye Hamilton hate subreddit. Time to sit back and read the comments then!
Fernando has more wins from outside top 3 than lewis so this is kind of embarrassing for you.
Because before the budget limits, Mercedes installed a new engine in Lewis car every other race and just take the grid penalty, because Lewis would just cruise passed everyone on the straight anyway. Mercedes is the reason we have such strict budget limits now, that shit was ridiculous.
Good thing Toto got his buy in with Mercedes before they realized he’s hardly a wizard without the infinite money glitch.
Mercedes installed a new engine in Lewis car every other race and just take the grid penalty, because Lewis would just cruise passed everyone on the straight anyway
The most common line back then was "it's not their fight". Cars just let him through. It was silly to see.
You mean like what happens with the red bull now?
It's worse because Max is too good for even his own team mates.
At least Rosbarg gave us some excitement. (Bottas was rarely a threat unfortunately..... Like Perez is to Max)
Max has started all races on pole, really.
Furthest Checo has started was 5th I think, and ended 2nd I think, so not much "let through" going on, really.
But stroll closed the door from the outside?
This quote was said long back, when he used to drive for alpine
But yeah, strolled closed bcoz he didn't expect hamilton to be in the place where alonso should have been. He was busy going wheel to wheel with norris
Yeah, I think that’s a big reason Hamilton got away without a penalty this time despite the lockup; they went 4 wide into turn 1.
They went 4 wide because 3 were using racing lines and Hamilton wasn’t. Take Hamilton out of the equation and Nando turns in earlier, there is no issue at all. Anyone that watches Nando’s on board can clearly see he was doing his damndest to dodge Hamilton. The rest is just teamlh44
I know it was, he's comparing it to the turn 1 incident as if alonso was talking about hamilton. But stroll is the one who acted like hamilton back then.
He had a Mclaren on his left.
So hamilton should have braked harder? You think lewis left some spare brake just incase? Where was he supposed to go?
Not dive in like a fucking idiot if he didn't think he had enough braking power.
As he said himself "I saw a gap and went for it"
If you go for A be sure you have B to make sure C does not happen
A - Plan / The dive B - Breaks / Enough room C - Crash / Colission
He did have enough braking power. He was in the gap alonso left him. He didn't turn into anyone. He was in the gap giving as much racing room as possible. But he's supposed to predict norris and stroll going down the outside and turning in?
Someones a fucking idiot.
In lap one turn 1, you maybe not expect it but know its a possibility that it can happen. Even more so if you are on the far inside.
Watch the highlights on youtube
Lewis accelerates past a Haas into the corner, it looks like a poor start into turn 1 from him, misjudging rhe bafrage of cars that are at the turn
There was no real gap for him there
Anyone who defends Hamilton in this knows f all about racing
nosebug tutorial 2022
Is this old? Or did he say it again?
The Alpine logo should give that away
Belgium lap 1, 2022.
He uses the old wisdom: "If gap, car"
