Reasons I went to Virginia and bought one. Can’t touch a Ranger with a good frame for under $2000 and realistically a Ranger with a good frame and minimal rust that isn’t a basketcase is $5000-7500
Rear frame rails where leaf spring hangers are, is probably toast. Common issue and one I had. Looks to be some rust holes on the top of the frame rails in one of the pics. Overall the truck is terminal and won't make it.
I've driven worse, but most of what's pictured is pretty easily replaceable. The frame and rockers are what I'd need to see more of to make a sound judgment. Regardless, I'd still likely look for something a bit more southern.
I just got back to Ohio from a week in SE Virginia and the difference in average age of the cars on the road is extremely noticeable. It’s nothing to see something from the early 90’s still beating around down there, up here you get 10-15 years out of a car.
Too rusty for me to buy….unless it was cheap AF
