Are Trap Bases on the rise?

I search for them. And then return and try to find a way to outsmart it. I appreciate the cleverness behind the designs. However despite checking every one on each server I log onto, I haven't seen one in quite some time. I think rather than an uptick in trap camps, we are seeing an uptick in people who take offense and vocally complain.
