I have to admit I greatly enjoyed the main saga of the game but at Endwalker it had gotten so convoluted and complicated I really struggled getting enjoyment out of it despite some very emotional moments.
Dawntrail on the other hand is bright, colorful and joyous! We're in a multicultural nation of inclusivity, with a great ruler, children who love and admire their father. A protagonist who is a kind and empathetic person.
The graphical update really is much better than I anticipated too. Genuinely the game looks great and for the first time with DLSS it looks properly aliased in motion. Tuliyollal might be the best city in the game and the new zones are just chefs kiss!
Most of all I like Wuk Lamat! She's super endearing and I love her voice actress! I'm a big sucker for kind well meaning characters and she's just a bundle of joy!
I haven't been this giddy about the game since Shadowbringer! I struggled so hard to finish EW but I've already been spending 10h a day playing Dawntrail since launch and I'm hooked!
