Respectable Q-synchers language filter.
does not happen except for massive frontline events with more than 72 players like on the JP data centers, i've been there
And of course win-trading happens. You think all those GC-specific voice channels are there to swap soup recipes???
you think those gc-specific voice channels are there for win-trading? it's literally for the opposite, so that people can have voice comms and not be heard by enemy teams in the same channel. you can even join yourself if you want to expose said win-trading
Since you're familiar with the system, I'll happily accept your superior knowledge. Such channels will, of course, give premades an even greater edge. Given the hostility I received today, I don't think me joining voice is a very good idea. In fact like many other veteran solo queuers, I'm more likely to take the advice in your other comment and abandon the mode entirely.
i won't say who i am but i'm a regular on aether and you know me for sure. i hang out at adamantoise wdp as well like many regulars do.
for the solo queueing thing, i solo queue often - about half the time as i do in premades - but when i solo queue, to be honest, i am not expecting to win. i think that is an exercise in frustration to try to do so. there's RNG in this mode for nodes, and there are three teams for god's sake. it's like the furthest thing from competitive. there are so many things you cannot control - contrast this to actual competitive games and sports, where if you really wanted to be competitive, you'd start gathering a group of people or friends and practice together. or, you solo queue in a game like league. there are just so many factors that make frontline so not fair, so it's just going to be disappointment to look for that in it
for me i play it a lot because i really enjoy trying to kill a lot. i try to win, but that shit is really out of my hands. when i play in premades, i acknowledge that that makes our team stronger - this however very much depends on the jobs we play, since a lot of the time i'm just fucking around but happen to be in a party with friends.
again, it would be nice to have a solo queue mode, but again again, square enix sees this as a casual mode, and it's designed as a casual mode. so expecting everybody to play the way you want for something like this will probably be met with disappointment
My win-rate has stayed within a couple of tenths of 33.3% over 3000+ matches and I'm perfectly happy with that. It's match *quality* I'm interested in. It is indeed designed to be a casual mode, and that is why it's evolution has involved eliminating GC stacking and full parties. My opinion (and I recognize it is just that), is that the natural evolution of this process is a solo-only queue.
Vive la résistance!!! :)
i respect it! and i respect the 33.3% win rate as well. may square enix keep going in a direction that makes this silly (in all honesty) game mode more enjoyable for all :)
