Mostly machines. All of the base game cranes and log forks suck really bad, as well as there not being any good way to store the logs. As long as you take your time and don’t try to move too many at once it usually works out pretty well
For the most part, any of the conifer species don’t really have a problem. Maples and Elms are a headache. The majority of forestry maps focus on the Pines species anyway.
Only thing with calmsden, the fields are massive but the gate sizes are small so it’s pretty much impossible to buy big machines, (if you’re playing realistically)
Going back to FS19, Kornau. An alps map where it actually felt interesting to drive around. Some roads so steep you had to think about what vehicles could make it up and through the switchbacks.
Just curious...with all the wonky tree physics, why forestry is so popular?
