So, you're telling me that 72 heads of lettuce (~54.36kg), a wooden pallet (~25kg) and some cardboard boxes weighs 400kg... What are these cardboard boxes made out of?
All of my #s are legitimate thank you very much. I looked up produce packaging suppliers and found 600x400mm boxes designed to stack on 1200x800 euro pallets like in the picture :) they come in packs of 20 and weigh 12kg per 20 boxes so 0.6kg each. I couldn't really find the kind of hard/dense moulded cardboard dividers you see for things like lettuce but I figured a fair figure was another 0.6kg per box since those things are usually pretty hefty and a 1.2kg box weight felt right for 4.5kg of lettuce. Would mean each box is ~5.7kg or 12.5lbs which seems right for a carton of 6 lettuces.
Economies of scale. Might not make sense if you're producing 1 pallet, or even 5 pallets, but if you're producing 20 or 50 or 100 or 1000 etc it makes more
Yes, but one "Large" greenhouse isn't nowhere near that. I do agree of you have a greenhouse half a hectare big and ship in cooled lorry container, then pallet is a viable call. But that is not how FS22 greenhouse works (wish you could daisy-chain them together for single IO.
if it that the reason it dumb they could had the pallet attach to the forks. Because they still go fying off. Beside if they weight less we could move them by hand.
Change the <components maxMass="400"> to <components maxMass="199"> if you want to be able to carry it (max carry is 200kg iirc, bodybuilder farmers I guess)

And where I live lettuce isn’t shipped in cardboard boxes. They are plastic crates similar to what milk is typically shipped in, because while the lettuce may not weigh much, some dumbass will put something much heavier on top of it and if your “boxes” can’t handle the weight…crush.
We get our crates back usually, as they rotate in and out per shipments. If not, the store usually pays for them.
That’s why they all say something like “property of” and “not for sale” and “theft of this crate is punishable by law”…etc on them.

72 heads of iceberg lettuce at 0.75kg/head (54kg)
12 600x400 Produce Crates at 0.6kg/ea + 12 600x400 Lettuce Divider Inserts at 0.6kg/ea (14.4kg)
A 1200x800 Euro Pallet (25kg)
A speck of neutron star so that the pallet reacts violently when stacked with other pallets (306.6kg)
All that adds up to 400kg... I'm not seeing the problem here?
