The "sites" weren't targeted, Al-Aulaqi himself was. He had been on a "kill list" for a year at that point and had survived/evaded at least one attempt already. It isn't "MAGA whining" to be concerned about how and when the right to due process can be suspended.
It is MAGA whining because an Al Quaeda terrorist was killed in a drone attack in an Al Quaeda camp overseas.

Neither his son nor his daughter were actual targets on a kill list. They were collateral damage from these strikes, which is it's own whole other moral issue. But nobody in the government sat down and said "these US citizens need to die, and do not get a trial to determine that".
Meanwhile this case actually went to court, while Obama was President. So much for blanket immunity.

The guy killed was a Al Quaeda jihadist, in the war on terror, after congress authorized the president to fight the war on terror.
And the courts decision wasn’t blanket presidential immunity. It was considered a war time strike against a terrorist who declared jihad against the U.S., an Al Quaeda terrorist working with Al Quaeda in Yemen.
It’s disingenuous to pretend he was just some American citizen minding his own business when Obama gave an order to kill him and no one cared, or that some argument of blanket presidential immunity was made.
