China is never going to peak their emissions. They could care less about the environment. Every year, more & more coal. Meanwhile, Europe, Australia, US, etc have Drastically reduced their coal production. Drastically. So yea, we're doing our part. They are NOT doing theirs.
Sinophobia is a hell of a drug. You stop believing evidence and start beliving whatever your fantasy of the worst is.
Just stating the words from Xi Jinping himself. Xi loves coal. And he changed the law, with Putin, so they can both be Dictators forever. Xi will reign forever. Therefore: Coal increases forever.
"Xi Jinping said the “reality of coal being the mainstay of the energy mix will not change"...While more than 40 countries pledged to phase out their use of coal-fired power at November’s COP26, the construction of new plants carries on in China. China is home to more than half of the new power plants that are expected to be built in the world. China started construction on 33GW of new coal power plants in 2021, “three times as much as the rest of the world put together”.

Funny how you cut the part of the quote that said "in the short term"
