Saw a similar post on the INFP sub and noticed a LOT of reponses similar to how I would answer (Music is half my life). I'm wondering what other ENTPs have to say about this.
Music is my life
It's something I use to disconnect from the world, especially during my commutes or when doing a task that requires little cognitive energy, is repetitive, and not very stimulating, which allows me to support thinking and explore my inner world.
Yeah I listen music sometimes but it's not something I would say half of my life or anything. I use it as a tool to distract myself while I am doing chores or going somewhere etc.
Yo la iba a grabar, pero en baja calidad. 😝
Y ella me dijo que no, que no 'tá. 😨
E' una maldita loca, una ratata 😳
Ella lo que quiere es que la ponga en quatro K

I only speak English, sorry. Is that Portugese?
Nah that’s my relationship with music
Im not into it at all really…
Flowing in my veins
Pretty close. I like the idea of having a soundtrack to my life.
he just like me fr fr
I am not a big music fan but I do listen to it frequently, im not the type of person to get too fixated on music or bands like that but if I like something I will probably listen to it most days.
Funny you should ask this question. I just discovered Suno, which uses AI to help me write music. I learned piano as a kid and I've taken voice lessons for a few years, but I've always been frustrated composing even though I have many songs in me as a poet. Now I feel like I'm unbridled, and I can do anything.
Here's a blues song I made today with my own lyrics, but he vocals and music are AI:

Good but it’s hard for me to stay consistent with practicing instruments. I love it though and sing all the tome
I think that is the difficulty in general with music. I really want to practice more but I don't have the energy for it sometimes.
Very personal for me. Its a lot about atnospheres and headspaces, I like stuff that takes things to the extremes. I like stuff thats fairly absurd.
It needs to be rich with layers and texture so my brain can unravel its secrets as well. Always something new to observe about the piece. Im not always in this mode but often.
I feel this too. I love it when I discover a violin segment in a piece of video game music that I never noticed before.
The same as everyone else, I listen to it and enjoy it.
The only other options are listening to it and not enjoying it, or creating it.
If I'm trying to get something done that isn't itself auditory, odds are I'm listening to music at the same time. I also play a couple of instruments, and tend to muck around working out how to play pieces by ear.
I guess I'm one of the very few people who aren't listening to music like 9 hours of a day. Or just in general extremely passionate about it. I listen to maybe 2-3 hours of music worth every week and whilst I genuinely do love whatever I listen to a lot, I am not very into listening to it all the time.
I do like playing it on speakers when I am home alone though and I also like listening to it at night and imagining scenarios or dancing around to it, but that too lasts for like 2 hours maximum. My favourite music related ritual is listening to it while taking a long, hour long bath though. I also CANNOT listen to music while studying. It is 100% the way I was raised (religious household that's very eh about listening to music).
You are not alone. I am also not that indulged all the time with music. Probably I was raised not to use my headphones all the time IDK really. But I like music I just can't be like other people who does it 24/7.
i listen to music 24/7 and i cant survive without it
Idk if this has much to do with personality type tbh. Music is my therapy, my main coping mechanism. Has been since I was a child and went through some traumatic stuff. I think maybe me being musical (genetics) , along with my upbringing (environment) contributed to me becoming obsessed with music and using it as my main outlet for self expression.
Listen 24/7 basically lmao
I tried to produce music in my teen years 😂 cringe I know but it developed a very intimate relationship with music. I’m also big into artists that have a lot of aura and depth to not only the music but their persona
Making music is my biggest hobby. It’s my passion. Most of my friendships came through music. I live for concerts, recording new song ideas, and performing live.
I don’t spend a lot of the average day listening but it is a big part of my experiential life attending live music events and during social outings.
couldn’t live without it lmao
Very personal.
https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZJBEY9lIFGbkVqyEOwXQsCaUkQ9pVga5 my entp playlist, did it on my times of pothead 420 blaze it lol, enjoy it :)
Helps me regulate my emotions and stay art motivated. Don't have a favorite genre, I love all music if it's my jam.
(I do love me some Reba McEntire, Lil Naz X, Jack stauber, and so forth and so on)
Can’t get enough. I love violent and aggressive metal lol. Been on a boundaries and kublai khan TX kick for the past couple years honestly
I’ve been very musically inclined since a young age. As I got older and life got harder and traumatic, it became my lifeline. I don’t think I’d be here today if it weren’t for music. By this i mostly mean listening, but i also play lots of instruments and write lyrics so that is extremely helpful for me as on outlet for my emotions since im quite bad at communicating then.
Its my joy, my therapy even my connection to spiritually sometimes
I can play 15 instruments and have a 4.5 octave voice, I'm sure you can take a good guess
Yes… all of the above… yes… I need it to live, to block out my thoughts…
But seriously, I love music, I’m in my folk/bluegrass phase (Poor man’s poison, the crane wives, fish in a birdcage)
I sometimes need music to let out my emotions and understand them.
The reason for my existence
I just realized last night that it's usually not that quiet for me. I always have music on, if not I'm listening to a podcast or in a meeting 🤷♀️ I even sleep with music on!
I make it 😂
I would always rather listen to a podcast
Yes.
Very Intimate
