Has anyone purchased or have any opinions on the Rokit Gen5 monitors? In the market for something in that price range. I'll certainly go to my local shop and check them out, but am just curious what initial impressions are.
Do not listen to anyone that says KRK are terrible. They either never listen to it or just follow the same “whatever is popular gets hated” I have Krk 5 gen 4 and Adam t8v and I can tell you the sound difference is very minimal. Audio technology hasn’t improved in many decades and any budget speakers are all going to sound about the same. You aren’t going to hear night and day difference between hs5, t5v or whatever trust me.
KRK are some of the worst monitors out there :( tryed so many different brands but they are literally in the bottom of the list regarding quality..
They're good for target practice xD
😂😂😂 true
Brah lmfao xD
Just true lol
It is true xD
In the same price range or just a little bit more, Yamaha HS5 or HS7, Kali Audio LP6 or LP8, Focal alpha Evo 50, are all way better options IMO.
KRK are "OK for their price", at best. I'm 100% sure their popularity comes mostly from the yellow cones that set them apart and being too bass-heavy making EDM producers think their tracks sound heavier.
I’ve been producing on those for the last 10 years. They’re great entry level monitors. I have no issues and don’t see a need to upgrade.
same here
Same. I've been using my Gen 2 Rokit 8's for the past 11 years. I would upgrade my production environment with sound treatment before i bought better speakers. No sense in getting super expensive ultra high quality monitors if your listening environment cant match them.
exactly, would rather mix in a treated room with krk 5 than 10k$ speakers in an untreated room
