A polite reminder to check your nuts

If you hear a knocking from the wheels, this is probably the cause. Happened to me years ago when driving down a multistorey car park. Then one of my mates piped up with "that happened to my brother a few years ago and it was because the nuts were loose". I was like "why didn't you say that sooner?" Someone had tried to nick my alloy wheels. This was when alloy wheels were a luxury and nicked often and before CCTV in car parks was a mainstay. But you should always re-tighten the wheel nuts a couple of days after having any work done that involves taking the wheels off.
