Cricut machines are not printers!

If issues still persist despite the efforts made in this thread, report the issue to cricut.

The manual background remover is still FREE! The process is just a tad different. Learn more about it here.

Before submitting a comment on your print then cut problems, first read this calibration guide. Then do a test print then cut of your project using plain printer paper.

If for some reason after calibration your cuts are still inaccurate, clear cache (the troubleshooting guide above this) and try calibration again.

• Cricut machine (Joy, Joy Xtra, Explore Air 2, Explore air 3, Maker, Maker 3, etc.).
• Device (Windows 10, Window 11, Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android).
• Type of project you were attempting to do. (Basic cut, print then cut, drawing, foiling, scoring, etc.)

Content Settings

This new tab in Design Space Settings lets you personalize your content preferences, ensuring that Cricut can add diverse content types while maintaining a safe and respectful environment for all users.

Product Setup Refresh

The beginning of New Product Setup has been redesigned to include two new options when there are no registered machines on an account. “Find the right machine for me” opens the Cricut website to help you choose a Cricut cutting machine. “Design without a machine” closes the product setup so you can use Design Space.

Note : You must have a machine registered to your account in order to make a project.

Improved Selection mechanics

The selection experience has been improved – users can now easily select an overlapping object when it is the top layer.

Updated Font Previews

With this update we’ve replaced “The Quick Brown Fox” preview text with the font name itself in the Canvas Font Picker.

Fixed field issues

This Release:

• Customize and Make It buttons are greyed out in Project Details
• Caching not cleared on logout
• Attached SVG image is not getting uploaded as it appears
• Paper size is not updating and Design Space crashes
• Project with many Warp text objects causes objects to jump around on Canvas

I recently came into a ton of HTV for free, and to my limited experience, I've only used HTV to make T-shirts (don't like) and also as templates for silkscreen.

What are some other uses for HTV to go along with my recently acquired Maker 3?

Im trying to make a baby bodysuit for our announcement but I can't get the full vinyl to stick. I am using sport flex on 330 fro 30 seconds and have tried doing both side of the onesie to get it to adhere. some parts are sticking but others aren't. I am literally putting all my weight right on the middle bar of me easy press. and help would be amazing!

Is anyone else’s design space not working? I’ve tried it on my computer and iPad. When I use my computer it just keeps opening to the browser and wanting me to sign in but I can’t because it keeps opening more tabs to sign in.

First of all, why is it that EVERY time the cut software updates, something gets ruined?

This last update, none of my cut settings work anymore, I'm having to use the hardest setting to cut through thin vinyl to maybe, just maybe, actually get through the material?

I changed my blade. I recalibrate my machine, and double, and triple checked everything, just to be at the same stage as I was when I first bought the damn thing, and I'm wasting material trying to get my system to actually cut again.

Oh, but you bet cricut access is being shoved down my throat harder then ever before.

I'm just getting fed up with this. I used to love sending my time on the weekend just doing some crafts here and there, and now I have to hope and pray it actually works, or there goes another piece of material.

I'm just pissed because all of the custom cut settings I made for my range of materials I use, just now no longer work, and I have to set my vinyl pressure to above 250 to make cuts, and of I make stickers with a finish on them, have to max out the pressure and do a x3 cut to MAYBE actually get through them... I know I don't use their materials for everything, but I ain't got Cricut materials Money all the time, and I've found SOOO many brands that just work so much better in my opinion. I wish there was another software I could use besides their BS.

What material would work best on wood? It’s been painted and clear coated. Would permanent vinyl stick well or no? And if not, what do you think would work? It would be a simple cursive name

I ironed on a shirt and it was the last of my black vinyl. Is there a way for me to get get it off and re use it?

Not sure if I used the right flair or tag lol. But I bought a Maker and accessories/materials bundle from the cricut website last year and my warranty expired a few months ago and now my adaptive tool detector sensor system has taken a total crap, it won't detect ANY of my adaptive tools or quick swap housing tips. I have to get a hold of cricut customer care on Monday to let them know the new rotary blade tool they se t me as a replacement isn't able to be detected either. But I was wondering if anyone has ever heard of cricut making an exception on an expired warranty when it comes down to a machine malfunction/failure. I mean if it was due to user error I would never even think of asking about an exception but it is a machine system failure, do you think I might have a chance of getting an exception? I spent sooo much money on this machine and there's absolutely no way I will be able to afford a new machine there's just no way.

Hi! I am a long-time lurker and finally bit the bullet & bought a Cricut. I am working on my 2nd project ever.

I am trying to make these cards. I bought light weight cardstock 4.5 x 6.5, a score tool, metallic markers, and foil transfer.

The first problem I'm running into is that my score line is not centered. I put the measurements at 4.5 x 6.5 and tried to center it based on an online tutorial. After the machine cuts the card is not perfectly folded in half.

2nd should I use a foil transfer kit to make these cards? or would a metallic marker work? if you recommend metallic are there any cursive noncursive fonts you recommend?

Just learning the Cricut and I want to make things to sell, but I want to keep it all legal. Reading the Angel Policy etc, I just want to make sure I understand...am I not allowed to use my Cricut to create and sell individual cutout of things, say a single leaf but in sets of 10? Even if it's got the A in the corner? What if it's 100% my own design, like I create the SVG and it's my own intellectual property, can I not cut and sell cutouts of my own IP?

I tried using a free online automatic background remover but whenever I upload it to the design space, cricut adds a bunch of dots making it unprintable. How can I get around this without paying $13/mo for their stupid service

hi all. i'm going to personalize a toiletries bag and i don't know if it's made of faux leather or vinyl (or something else)... would you recommend using htv or regular vinyl for personalization? i don't want to melt the material of the bag. tia!

I’m wanting to get my fiancée a clamshell heat press for vinyl. She has the cricut easy press and it just really isn’t cutting it. She follows directions on the vinyl and she’s dealing with a lot of inconsistency with peeling from and whatnot. She has mentioned that she’d like to get a clamshell press someday. I’ve looked on Amazon at various presses, mostly VEVOR and Fancierstudio . Reviews seem to mostly be positive but a lot of mixed reviews regarding durability and heat distribution. I’d like to see what the opinions here are regarding this.

tl;dr what’s the best clamshell press I can buy on Amazon for $275 or less

I'm thinking about buying cricut to make cards. I'm interested in print-then-cut functionality but I wonder how aligned it need to be?

If I print it on the sticky paper put it on cardboard and ask to cut it will it do it? Or does it only works with level of the misalignment expected from printers?

General question to all users: Is the Cricut having difficulty reading the cutting guide on glossy paper?
